  1. Perhaps use the units 'simulator' to help learn what the returns you are seeing might be. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=nMNhF33v9j5v2nRrBgvIy7 A-Jay
  2. Some of these member markers seem to have been made without the member actually visiting the site; For years. And a least one off them was made on the profile of a member who is no longer with us. 2020 just keeps upping the ante'. A-Jay

  4. Nice Job ~ Bass'in in those conditions is a different animal. Although the pay off can be superior. Congrats A-Jay
  5. Looks like you may have slipped on over to the dark side ~ Right past indifference and smack dab in the center of attention to detail-town. A-Jay
  6. No replacement for the love though ~ We call it Full Contact Dog Ownership. Tucker's all about facials and cleaning your ears . . . . A-Jay
  7. Well, I'll start off with this - The USCG Rescue swimmer school is the toughest training in that service - bar none. Candidates have to go to and pass pre-training just to get in shape to go to the training. And still it has a super high drop out rate. The training methods used in the film are mostly for Hollywood. While I was assigned as a Search & Rescue Mission Coordinator (in charge of planning and directing the SAR cases at sea) I worked very closely with the pilots & air crews daily for 5 years. Very dedicated & high speed men & women who risked their lives every day for total strangers. The 'chain of command' depicted in the film is mostly BS. The interaction between very junior & very senior personnel doesn't happen. And to top it all off, Aston Kutcher is wearing a women's dress uniform throughout the film. All that said, it's nearly impossible to film & depict what really happens on SAR cases at sea but they used that giant pool and IMO came as close to showing what it's like, than any other film I've seen. It's like your worst nightmare on steroids. And somehow we learn to like it and right after we prosecute a good case, we want to do another. Especially in "Hero Weather". For the folks that do that, it's not just a job. And the crews are super tight, like families. Everyone depends on everybody, every minute of every day - and there's very little margin for error. The general public would really be surprised at the level of responsibility the service hangs on some very young folks and what is even more amazing is just how good they are at their jobs. Everyone's a rock star. And to stand out - you really have to be superior. Can't speak for other services as we've not spent the time, but my wife & I have 45 years combined of SAR & MLE and a ton of Training, we can say that the American public gets a great value from the USCG. But the movie is for entertainment purposes only. A-Jay

  12. Don't know off the top of my head. But that's rarely a big concern for me. Either way, and I'm guessing here, but it surely weighs a little less than this . . . A-Jay
  13. Been wanting to do this for a while. After a decade plus, I finally stopped dragging my feet and got it done. A much needed fresh coat of paint, new lights, up dated wall coverings and the star of the show, a new floor; certainly helps to brighten the place up. (Still waiting on delivery of a ‘very special picture’ to be totally completed). However, I simply must acknowledge each & every one of the BR forum members here who made my most recent bait lot sales a success. @shimanoangler @Benchmark @Columbia Craw @panfish12 @ddddodc @BlakeMolone @Big Rick @NorcalBassin @12poundbass Your eye for quality baits and great nose for a sweet deal, help fund this project and I really appreciate your support. Stay Safe. A-Jay
  14. Long Story Short ~ For two seasons I fished 3/8 & 1/2 oz vibrating jigs on a variety of MH Graphite, Glass & Composite Sticks. Tried braid & FC main line with each. They all had their pluses & minuses in my mind. In the end, and after a lot of trial & error, the composite stick won me over. 7' 4" MH Composite cranking rod with 15 lb FC is my Chatterbait go to rig. I use this same stick for my open water, spinnerbait, rattlebait, squarebill & medium cranking deals as well. YMMV A-Jay

The Remington 870 has been a part of our home defense plan for a while. Banked on it professionally for a long time and now trust it to keep that up. My dogs are not fans of our rather routine 'practice' days. However, IMO it's the Most Crucial aspect of gun ownership. I certainly enjoy it quite a bit. Feels good having the 870 at the ready and knowing that any uninvited visitors will have more than the canine welcoming party to deal with. We have a CZ 9mm as well (lives on the night stand). 24 inches from my sleeping face. A-Jay

  19. Ok first off I have to apologize for being a knucklehead. Secondly, my CRS has advance quite a bit more than I thought. Totally forgot I have the Master Angler Award with The Only (non-digital) Pic I have of her hanging in the tackle room. Not the best pic; tried to 'clean it up' a bit. Taking a pic of a pic doesn't leave much to work with. Either way . . . Finally I may not have been 'totally accurate' as to where this fish was actually caught. Lake Menderchuck isn't on any of the DNR maps so . . . A-Jay

  22. Try a 4" or 5" Yamamoto Swim Senko ~ Snip a bit off the front of the bait as needed. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Yamamoto_Swim_Senko/descpage-YSS.html A-Jay
  23. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ These pics were taken right after I did it. Tried assorted colors but white & yellow stand out the best. (the red & orange do not) I am finding out over time that the durability of the paint on the bag itself is not the greatest as the paint has started to fade or perhaps even flake of a little making it harder to read. May need to come up with a different plan for mine or at the very least re-do them over the winter. I've got that kind of time though Stay Safe A-Jay
  24. I use Gamakatsu EWG Treble Short Shank Magic Eye #4's. A-Jay
