  2. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I use the Accu-Cull scale with a Rapala Fish Grip (small). Reliable, Safe & secure. and both are on sale : https://www.amazon.com/Accu-Cull-Digital-Weigh-Scale/dp/B004MKJNKW/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=accu+cull+digital+scale+55+lb&qid=1607121486&sr=8-3 https://www.amazon.com/Rapala-Floating-Fish-Gripper-6/dp/B00YHZG43G/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=rapala%2Bfish%2Bgrip&qid=1607121546&sr=8-5&th=1&psc=1 A-Jay
  3. Thanks for sharing that. I have not ventured into the Blue Label - yet. I do wish however, that Seaguar had completed the "This means Tatsu would not offer the knot strength/ impact strength in short pieces like Blue label would." statement with Why. What are the possible reasons for this ? I use Tatsu as a mainline & a leader because I have faith in the knot strength; as much as I can for FC anyway. Could it be that the Blue Label is over tested; meaning stronger than it's rated ? Could it mean that the Blue Label stretches more and that Tatsu less, making it more shock absorbent ? Could it be that it's only December and I'm all ready going bat **** crazy ? Only my hair dresser knows for sure. A-Jay
  4. I certainly will. But if the major brands continue to utilized the three card monte marketing strategy, it may never happen. #monobraidocarbon ? A-Jay
  5. I think I may have initially had unrealistic expectations for this string. Looking for it all. Castability, manageability, no stretch and lasts for ever. In the end what I got was a line with many of the better properties of braid but the durability of dollar store mono; without the price. A-Jay
  6. Tried it and moved on. Mostly for the reasons mentioned here and in this thread: A-Jay
  7. No experience with this Personally, However I remember growing up, my uncle was sharing his experience with passing a stone to my Dad and the rest of the family during a holiday dinner. It was quite a story, one that didn't sound like fun. At the end of it my mom felt the need to contribute. "Try Giving Birth". A-Jay
  8. Awesome. Glad I could help out. A-Jay
  9. This guy fishes from a kayak mostly but might be fishing in the same type places & for the same type fish. Might help. https://www.youtube.com/c/EliasVFishing/search?query=sea bass A-Jay

While I have been toting around a decent assortment of various 'craw' style baits for a while now, (may need to revisit that) more often than not I find myself reaching for one of just 4 baits for most all of my 'craw" type applications; any type of jig trailer or Texas rigged deal. The decision is often generated by the water temp, clarity and or profile desired. Either way, A Rage Craw (the regular size, the Lobster and on the a few rare occasions, the baby), A Rage Bug (regular size) a Rage Menace (Small & Regular) and finally for less 'flapping' and more of a do-nothing glide, the Rodent gets the nod. This one may fall into the 'beaver' category but I threw it in anyway. These baits all 'fit' the jigs I throw, are fairly durable and are usually readily available. Most importantly, I have confidence in them and they get bites. And whatever you do, don't hang any of these on a swinghead. Might get your arm broke, fair warning. btw- I throw a lot of green pumpkin and especially like the TW GP when it's available. #strikekinglikesme A-Jay

  14. I'm with @Team9nine But the back seater might have a slight edge on this rig . . . A-Jay
  15. There are times where this is like a 'wind farm'. Different kind of 'wind' though. A-Jay

    Perhaps it's time for a new hat ~ A-Jay
  19. Huge fan of that myself. A-Jay
  20. ? A-Jay
  21. Hi John, ~ Welcome back. Those circumstances are clearly bogus but like always, seems you're making the best of it. Congrats on the new rig and best of luck moving forward. Stay Safe A-Jay
  22. They all work. Use what YOU have confidence in. Perhaps That's the Advantage. A-Jay
  23. No replacement for displacement. Get the rated HP for the rig. A-Jay
  24. So many options & personal preferences, hard to call anything - the best. When I do use casting gear, a Scorpion DC is gets it done for me. A-Jay
  25. Ya, that pic is not the best - The trailers there are Green Pumpkin Purple Swirl and Green Pumpkin Purple The thinking was - if my jig & trailer don't match my left eye starts to twitch Jig & trailer choices are all about confidence for me. If it worked before, hey it might work again. A-Jay
