  1. Folks up this way sort of need the snow; myself included. The 12 feet or so average contributes to the economy, insulates everything for the super cold that's coming and just looks a whole lot better. Works out to about an inch a day from Nov thru March; but often starts much earlier and lasts far longer. It's like living in a snow globe for half the year. How that load is distributed each winter determines if or how many times I end up shoveling the roof. Easily the single most physically demanding (and least fun) thing I do. A-Jay
  2. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (finally) A-Jay
  3. Bummer Sounds like your unit is not operating properly. As mentioned already, Call Mr Kota. In the mean time, Have you updated the software on the Ultrex since you got it? This cures a lot of oddities, but maybe not what you are experiencing. I would update that motor and see what the new software fixes. https://www.minnkotamotors.com/support/software-updates Also this might help as well. Good Luck A-Jay
  4. You know @Chris at Tech I have. But my swing head baits there are Bigger. 10 inch Bullworm and big Senko do most of the heavy lifting. Prought a few Mag Rage bugs to try last trip but they never left the room. You know what it's like. Btw Big Fish Jeff and I have 2 open seats in Terry's turbo prop Bonanza in Oct. Oh boy A-Jay
  5. Nice - Is that a FG Knot ? A-Jay
  6. Now and Then ~ Changes over the years ? Man this one could go on for a while . . . . Like so many of us, my personal addiction started young. The early beginnings (circa 1960’s) as a boy bank fishing for anything I could catch to present times, so much has ‘changed’ in my fishing, as well as fishing in general, that it’s nearly impossible to list it all. Clearly the equipment is light years ahead of what it was then, add half a century of time on the water (both salt & sweet), it certainly adds up. Looking back at it all, there’s a lot going on there. But to just focus on ‘my fishing’ over the years, it’s sort of like, the more things change, the more they stay the same. The basic aspects of the sport that I fell in love with so many years ago, remain fundamentally unchanged. The preparation, the planning and attention to detail, the execution, the hunt for an unseen target that has free will to go where ever, and finally the success when I get a few; all still drive me Five decades later. While my ‘process’ is different, the premise & approach both still 'feel' the same and often take me back to simpler times. And it's that; there’s no secret bait, wildly effective technique, or magic time to fish. Any & all success I may have is the result of preparation, determination and learning; often from failure. It really is a Labor of Love for me. So “I will prepare and someday my chance will come.” Hope to keep it going for as long as I can. A-Jay
  7. I do not use a trailer on a "Hair Jig" And to be clear - I'm taking about these And not these ~ A-Jay This is a mini crash course in hair jigs ~ A-Jay
  8. So does this need to happen at the same time or can it be one then the other ? A-Jay
  9. The lure is interesting but we need to see a pic of the 28 inch Largemouth ! Best pic I have is only a 25 inch dink A-Jay
  10. Gotta do what ya gotta do I guess But I'm taking her to the beach where she can either enjoy the pleasures of a port-a-potty or water the woods. A-Jay
  11. I do not own the Steez. Do have & fish a couple of AGS. The 7'1" M Ehrler drop shot and that 7'6" ML Feider Neko Rig/hair jig stick. I like them both quite a bit, mostly for what they were designed to do. The 7'6" stick has accounted for some great fish for me A-Jay
  12. Hate the Brown Yule - Love the Bass but not the Yule. A-Jay
  13. Now it's starting to look & feel a little more like December in the Snow Belt ~ A-Jay
  14. Yes Sir. Thank you for that. A-Jay
  15. Yup ~ Totally working now. Thank you very much. Now if you could politely excuse myself, I have some work to do. A-Jay
  16. I've collected a few myself over the years. Fish many of them. Sold a bunch. And saved some special ones to help remember a certain time in my life, a notable trip, or that special fish. It's just one of the many aspects of this sport that can always 'take you back' to a memorable time & place. This Mud Bug does that for me. (circa 1974) A-Jay
  17. Thank you very much for the reply @Glenn Unfortunately I am not finding that option on my end. No Gear to be found in my current album pics. Perhaps it's an admin only function ? Still hoping to do this somehow though. A-Jay
  18. These Jr's seem like sweet baits - For brown bass, I am excited about the new size option. After having them in hand, expect to have no problem attaining the casting distance I need as these are slim & dense; should be good. And I'll keep shouting this into the wind until it's heard . . . We need a SILENT One Ten +1 that will still cast. Just use the same tungsten weight transfer system, but with rubber coated weights. May get some vibration out of them but No loud rattle. (pretty sure 6th Sense has been doing this for a while in several crankbaits) Someone call Megabass right away ! A-Jay
  19. Can individual pictures from my own "Albums" loaded here, be deleted some how. Seems I can delete an entire album but would much rather simply purge the old & reload some new. Is that even a thing ? Thank in advance A-Jay
  20. I know this may be hard to believe at first, but Megabass rarely asks for my input during the price setting phase. A-Jay
  21. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  22. Quality may be perceptual, conditional, and a somewhat subjective attribute, it's often understood differently by different people. To answer your question, No. Mostly because I'm not looking. A-Jay
  23. Hasn't this particular mode of transportation be proven as somewhat risky ? A-Jay
