Although I've not ever tried playing the drums, I don't believe I possess the rhythm required. Besides, when cranking out reps with 450+, being a little ticked off can be beneficial. A-Jay

Happy to finally have open water, fishing today was pretty much out of the question. Below freezing temperatures, crazy big winds along with snow, sleet & hail had me pacing the house. Decided to turn my misplaced anger and mostly useless frustration into next level motivation down in the home gym. This clip shows some of that. #borninfiftynine #fitforlife A-Jay

So that puts a wrap on this - the 2nd Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread. While the days went by slowly, the weeks waiting for what happened yesterday, did seem to go by fairly quickly. So I'd to thank all the fine BR forum members for your support & participation here again; I really appreciate it. There's a decent chance, (if everything goes as planned) the 3rd annual version of this one could appear again sometime in the late fall. I'll admit to not exactly looking forward to it as much as I was open water. A-Jay

Despite being mostly Ice covered just yesterday, Local Lake Menderchuck was open water this morning. Big rains overnight did the trick. I am very happy to have been able to spend the afternoon floating. And as always, can’t wait to do it again. A-Jay

Just got back ~ Big Rains last night did the trick. OPEN WATER ! ! ! A week ahead of my 15 April Predictor - Big Fan of that ! I'll be tying on a few baits and heading back to Lake Menderchuck A sling shot launch (no docks yet) and I'll be wetting my first line of the 2020 Campaign. Very Exciting - A-Jay

I am up in Otsego County - 40 minutes south of the bridge. Lakes here are still frozen over. Close to open next few days I'd guess. The wait is a little brutal but - the reward is decent. A-Jay
