  4. I like to mix it up. Stay warm. A-Jay
  5. Always a bittersweet time. Knowing that the rig is preparing for winterization and will soon enter a deep state of hibernation. At least it was a pleasant afternoon ride. Until next season . . . . . https://youtu.be/4B6iXBKOGCU?si=rjgnB_6Jx0ii1EoI A-Jay
  6. Workout Day 4. There's a delicate balance between maintaining the challenge and overexerting myself, or worse. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/uof2ZMsXo3E?si=8vaS0DL4aUqdR2-C A-Jay
  7. It's been a while but I nailed this one yesterday ! A-Jay
  8. Winter is coming....... in Georgia. Good one. A-Jay
  9. With three days of rain behind us, and three more ahead. There's a break in the action for just today. No sense letting that slip by unutilized. I'm heading to the lake, hope to catch a few but I'll be content just to float around for a few hours is the sun. Here we go ! A-Jay
  10. Spoke to Big Fish Jeff today about our next (potential) trip ~ We've both had quite a bit on our plates recently. However, it looks like it will be clearing up enough for us to at least place something on the docket. All of this is still wildly tentative, but just for starters, we're shooting for this time next year. I'm already packed. More to follow. A-Jay
  11. Nice Bass ~ Now put in fresh remote batteries. A-Jay
  12. Workout Day 3. I've led a healthy lifestyle my entire adult life. This includes maintaining a sensible diet and engaging in consistent resistance training. As I've aged, my abilities have and will no doubt continue to decline. Adapting and driving on is the name of the game. Now at 66, that mindset is paying off by helping me find the best version of myself. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/LKgOKpd-1kI?si=CkpUP24IemzAhvRK A-Jay
  13. Thank you. I was fishing a long main lake point and dropoff that starts right on the bank and extends out about 400 yards. This time I was fishing about halfway out. Smallies use the whole structure at different times and seasons. They keep me guessing for sure. A-Jay
  14. If your rig has a live well, the pump(s) and piping can hold water. Having that freeze can be problematic. To winterize a livewell system by blowing out water, drain as much as possible first, then use a low-pressure air compressor to blow out any remaining water from the lines and pump. First, turn off the pump and drain the livewell tank completely. Then, connect a low-pressure (under 30-45 PSI) air compressor to the system, and blow air through the lines, opening all faucets and outlets until no more water sprays out. I have heard of folks that use awet/dryyvacuum,m but getting a good seal can be tricky. Good luck A-Jay
  15. I am hoping for at least one more shot at them. If not, this might be it for me for 2025 ~ A-Jay
  16. Whatever unit you choose, and whichever craft you decide to install it on, if you don't have it already, ensure you select a proper & sufficient power source and connections for it. An old or sketchy battery and or bad wiring, might make your new electronics experience a bit of a downer. Good Luck A-Jay
  17. Workout Day 2. I started with the step-back lunge. Completed three working sets of each movement scheduled and I was toast . . . I mean done. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/22LPSyFJtaA?si=VK4j2YoZMvT44Jpa A-Jay
  18. Congratulations ! ! ! Such a really excellent bag of bass. A-Jay
  19. Mid-October sunsets like this are truly special and pretty rare. Warm, flat calm and the brown bass are chewing. We’ll be looking at hard water soon enough, but I’m in no hurry. A-Jay
  20. Today, I visited the local brown bass population at sunset. The lake was just totally flat without a breath of wind but water temperatures finally dipped into the 50's. The 60-degree air temps were comfy to fish in. All the bites were limited to 30 minutes on either side of sunset. Been begging for a jerkbait bite but for now anyway, the Rage bug on a swinghead is still king. And when it comes to hooksets, I rarely get cheated. 21. Here's my full-size rig going on the trailer solo. Early season so no dock - I carry hip waders in the boat. Also I always trim the motor all the way up going on the trailer. A-Jay
  22. Solid advice ~ 2 bags lasts a couple hundred bass in for us. Makes a killer jig trailer A-Jay
  23. I say Ditch the braid and go 20 lb FC. ^^^^^^^^ These 3/4 & 1 oz jigs are IMO really good for south of the border. https://youtu.be/1to6ti-tlZY?si=ezRpg_4Jui_5nejF&t=698 A-Jay
  24. @Kayak Koz If only it were that easy . . . . A-Jay
