  1. There's only really one place for him to keep it - And I'll not be having any of that action. Plus it makes it hard to read. (Oh, and he never takes his hat off) A-Jay
  2. No Doubt ~ Now we just have to figure out the routing number to the The Bait Monkey's checking account. A-Jay
  3. “It`s not how old you are, it`s how you are old.” A-Jay
  4. I don't expect to see it . . . A-Jay
  5. I wear Columbia PFG ~ when in Mexico. Perfect. https://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Blood-Pants-Fossil-36x30/dp/B00L2IOEEC/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=huk%2Btrawler%2Bpants&qid=1578669970&sr=8-6&th=1 Locally - it's a bit cooler climate and HUK Trawler pants are the deal. https://www.amazon.com/Huk-Mens-Trawler-Pant-Iron/dp/B07F6RGNSY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=huk+trawler+pants&qid=1578669970&sr=8-1 A-Jay
  6. Clearly not an expert - but I like just enough 'space' between the weight and the bait to enable the bait to move a bit so that it doesn't appear too ridge. Kind of hard to explain, a little space by not much is what I'm saying. Also I prefer stops in front & in back (between the weight & the hook). helps keep the weight in place. And when stops alone aren't doing the job, I'll peg it too. Hate having to keep stopping to 'fix' the weight after every other presentation. Breaks up my rhythm - ruins the flow & the Mojo . . . A-Jay
  7. Sure seems that way. I really like his teaching & presentations style. It's clear, confident, easy to understand and very thorough. However, when he's doing what he does and I can't hit mute in sufficient time to completely silence whatever he calls that post 2 lb bass catch display, I usually start feeling a little like this . . . 8. 278 Days & a Wake up ~ A-Jay
  9. Clearly Tucker & Fenway are enjoying this and might not be in any hurry to see it end. But I'm looking at 96 Days and a wake up ~ Finally a double digit midget. A-Jay
  10. @slonezp covered it nicely above. In the big picture, when you set yourself up with a rig that is safe & completely capable in the biggest water you will ever fish, chances are you'll have exactly what you're hoping for every where else. Chose something else, expect different results. Best of Luck A-Jay
  11. Call Paul ~ He may know when she'll be back . . . A-Jay
  12. Well, as a man who has been down this road before, my advice is if you like the hook, pay a little more for it now while you can get it. Because once it's gone - if you are able to purchase them, it will Be a Lot More $$$$. And I didn't realize that the red was being discontinued - makes sense now. Just now (like 2 minutes ago) finished loading up on size 2 & 4 from TW so if they do go bye bye - I should be good For A-While. Thanks for the heads up. A-Jay
  13. For whatever reason that size 1 is MIA ? The Only place I've seen them currently is here . . . but you'll pay to play https://www.amazon.com/Mustad-UltraPoint-Triple-Treble-Strong/dp/B00AU5T8HQ/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Mustad%2BKVD%2BElite%2BShort%2BShank%2BTreble%2BRed&qid=1578614729&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1 btw - I just purchased 2 pks - 6 left A-Jay
  14. My comment was in reference to using the Standard Gamakatsu Trebles in lieu of the Short Shank Magic Eye model. As for the Mustads - I use TG76NP-BN - can't read these packs pictured, but if that's the same # - I think you're good. A-Jay
  15. Nice Selection ~ Point of interest: you may find that when replacing jerkbait trebles with 'standard' and not short shank length trebles, the hooks might come together & tangle; especially if you plus sized them at all. btw- I'm digging that 130 perch pattern . . . A-Jay
  16. Perhaps they could replace it with "It's a Giant ! " Mr Iaconelli may vote for that. A-Jay
  17. Perhaps ~ It may also dramatically increase the use of the term "Non-Scoreable Bass". A-Jay
  18. Hello @michael1 and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Plenty of useful advice offered here already. IMO, your plan of going with the 6.2:1 reel is solid. That speed reel works for me when in many applications and find it to be a decent middle ground. Additionally, I am also a man who prefers to speed up my retrieve if I need to because I find it somewhat difficult (insert torturous) to slow down. Good Luck with your decision A-Jay
  19. Looking Good ! A-Jay

  21. That's a decent representation as to what I look and especially feel like about a week or so before open water each spring . . . ? A-Jay
  22. Started this OP just shy of five years ago. Feeling very fortunate to be able to say - Yup, still going . . . . So is 60 the new 40 ? A-Jay
  23. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I will not be offering any advice but will say that there are 'several' threads on this forum that may help you out. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/search/?q=" used bass boat "&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy&search_and_or=and Good Luck A-Jay
