New Year's Resolution
Interesting & timely premise Kent. The past few weeks I too have 'purged' my somewhat over sized arsenal of rods & baits. Removing the unused and leaving only (mostly) what has teeth marks. (not on the rods) Expect to be posting up a hefty offering (consisting of several 'lots') in the BR Flea Market Forum after the new year. And since it might not really support your cause noted above, you might want to avoid it - the 'deals' could be epic ! More to follow. A-Jay

The Road To The Super Bowl 2018
I do believe your assertion has merit however if the Pats had kept the man they shipped to San Fran it might have had less merit. You guys need a QB - I like your new coach quite a bit though. A-Jay

Jerkbait fishing - am I doing it wrong?
During very late and very early season - basically cool / cold water - I'd highly courage the following technique. Slow pull - pause - slow pull - pause; repeat. A-Jay

Stand-alone battery charger
Don't totally understand how you intend to use the charger or if this is right for your particular application but I've been using two of these to charge & maintain a couple of mod 31 wet batteries that power the TM on my canoe. Works well. https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-SC-1200A-CA-SpeedCharge-Automatic-Battery/dp/B000BQSIWK/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1514386956&sr=1-2&keywords=schumacher+1200 A-Jay

Onboard battery charger
Three 6 amp banks for a 18 amp total out put will surely charge your batteries. Jumping up one model level provides three 10 amp banks for a total of 30 amps, along with quite a bit more 'features'. In the long run, might be a better buy and IMO is at least worth a look. Good Luck A-Jay

PR Knot
The ONLY thing I'll EVER even consider passing through the "Devil's Palomar Loop" is a single hook; maybe a jig or a spinnerbait but that's about it. Cranks, Jerkbaits, topwater - just about anything with trebles turns into a tangled jack wagon about half way into it - so that's pretty much out for me too. A-Jay

Onboard battery charger
Quad Pro is my charger of choice. Effective, fast, so far durable, quality unit. A-Jay

Merry Christmas to you as well my friend. And the revamped forecast for us is 5-8 tonight, 5-8 tomorrow, and 5-8 tomorrow night. So 5's & 8's are Wild in this hand . . . . Santa's Golden round these parts . . . Planning on a Christmas Day Dog Sled run at some point . . . . I do like those quite a bit. A-Jay
