  1. Here's what I use - and Yes I do think you're lazy ~ Rigging up gear is part of the fun - stop looking for short cuts . . . Here's the rig, from the main line to the hook: -A weight stop or stopped knot (I use a double uni-knot made from left over braided line) - A small bead to keep the knot from slipping through the weight. - A 1/2 oz tungsten weight - a Boss Punch Hub - this is placed inside the skirt collar - The skirt of your choice - A parasite clip (optional, but does help prevent the plastic from sliding down the hook) - A 5/0 Owner wide gap plus EWG hook (#5139 - very stout, I love this hook) - Your favorite soft plastic - pictured is a Power Bait Beast The Boss Hub is available at Tackle warehouse A-Jay

  5. Megastrike Strikeback spinnerbait with a Strike King KVD Perfect Plastic Blade Minnow trailer Accounted for this one yesterday A-Jay
  6. Thanks ~ Hang in there and give it time. Shoulder deals can be a real bear but reasonable & smart rehab often does the trick. A-Jay
  7. I'll use Medium light spinning gear for 4 & 6 lb test presentations. As I move up to 8 & 10 lb test I'll use medium power gear. When & where I use each depends on the situation & the presentation. Below is a decent smallie fought & landed on ML gear & 4 lb line. The water was crystal clear, deep & flat calm. Only way I could get bit. As long as there isn't anything for the bass to 'get into' and break me off, I like to hear that drag . . . . A-Jay

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I was stationed in Cape May for quite a while - Love It ! A-Jay
  9. Regardless of the origin - it's ALL about the fit. Best covers for travel are Very tight to the contour of the boat with just about NO material loose enough to move at all. Any thing that flaps or vibrates will almost always tear, rip, shred and at the very least damage whatever it's on there to 'protect' in the first place. And did I mention it needs to be tight ? 10. Umbrella Rigs A-Jay
  11. Start looking shallow . . . . A-Jay
  12. @12poundbass I was on the water this morning and missed this one - sounds like it was fairly entertaining - is there a replay I can watch somewhere yet ? A-Jay
  13. Really Nice ~ The shot of Lake in the live well is pretty funny, his hat is Priceless and that Smile says it all. Doesn't get much better than that. Nice job Dad. A-Jay

  19. Youth waders are readily available. http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/youth-waders-boots/_/N-1119206/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_104420880 You may want to consider locating a local source of supply and trying some on to ensure a proper fit. And I'll mention this again because it's an important safety deal - buy & wear a wading belt. A-Jay

PROvider Tackle make a quality product. The "Performance Series" Bite Size - BBQ Melon 3.5" model is a solid SMB producer for me. http://www.providertackle.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=66_70&product_id=174 A-Jay
  21. I totally disagree my friend - That's a very stout bass and definitely bigger than any of the green ones I've been able to get into this whole season. Congrats A-Jay
  22. Nice ~ and the "Up in the Lighthouse View" is often most memorable. A-Jay
  23. Apparently not that long . . . As for the price ~ it's clearly is a little more. But if it's twice as good then it may be appropriate. And after it's pinned in a few tanks - you may come to value it differently. A-Jay
