I Need Advice!!!!!
Yeah I'd get a fishfinder.. that will give you a lot more confidence.. that you know the fish are there... a couple of my fav lures and I think they starting making these again... was the Bagley Small fry in perch color.. and wiggle warts... the wobble on that lure is incredible.... Rapala Rattlin Rap is an incredible lipless crankbait...and any color works as long as its chrome blue back...I couldn't catch a fish one day and tied this lure on -- ended up catching 22 that day... unfortunately a big bass broke my line and I had to buy another one... Norman deep divers are also big fish catchers.... Having said all that, my 3 fav lures are Powerworm, fluke, and senko... if you haven't fished these there give em a try..

Pond Fishing Tips.
what Road Warrior said is right on... I fish a lot of ponds so I'll tell you a few things that worked for me... lets start with the Senko... before you leave the pond fish it in all these ways... Weightless, or small split shot above worm. (tx rigged).. with the reeling and twitching method.... then same rig and fish it like you would a worm.... next, and I've had some monsters on the line with this technique... Throw out the senko on a dropshot rig.... just let it sit there for a few minutes ... watch the line... they will bite it in a lot of situations just deadsticking it... then fish it normally on a dropshot rig.... Next, you can fish it wacky rigged on a dropshot.... And also be sure before you leave to fish it on your weightless or split shot rig (wacky style).... These fish might be pressured and the wacky or dropshot technique may work........ One of the best lures for a pond is the zoom fluke....watermelon green... put a small split shot above the lure...twitch twitch reel method... like you are walking the dog... A good spinnerbait is a necessity... like the Terminator... or War eagle... and fish topwater early and late... I'd go with a Pop-R... it's smaller and puts out a lot of action... Be sure to buy some blue fleck powerworms fished tx. rigged... it's my #1 big fish catcher in ponds... And also a lot of ponds have a lot of crawdads in them... be sure and try these out... my favs are Paca craw, chigger craw, and gene larew salt craw... Fish them Tx. rigged and you should have a lot of success.... Last but not least when the fish are shallow and you have to go thru a lot of weeds.... Use a technique my Dad used to boat a 8 lb. bass.... fish weightless Tx. rigged with a worm....just reel slowly and crawl the lure along the top of the water...... it works great in the summer..... If I had to choose 3 lures only... no doubt it would be these lures.... powerworm, fluke, senko

Fishing Report/pics Small Lake In Texas
rain has moved in and a lot of wind the last few days... last week had some luck on paca craw and chigger craw- spinnerbaits.... One of my friends did lose what looked to be an 8 lb. bass on tiki stick... got him right to the bank and jumped and spit the hook... that fish had quite a belly on her.... Anyways heres a few pics... hopefully they will still be biting when the rain quits...

Pond Fishing Report
Fished yesterday evening at a pond by my house around 10-15 acres... and early today... Caught 2 nice bass yesterday-one around 3 and the other was 5 to 6 lbs. Didn't bite quite as good today but did nail one around 4 on a spinnerbait.... caught 10 yesterday and 5 today.... the females looked liked nearly ready to drop some eggs.... Ran out but they were nailing blue paca craws and blue chigger craws... if you've been struggling give these baits a shot.... see if I can get some pics up later ...

Pond Fishing
all good tips you got here and I try them.. especially Rapala and Senko, trick worm.... Here's my strategy... I think if you can't catch them on these lures.. you can't catch em... I like the Strike King Zero if your looking to stay on a budget.. I've caught a ton of pond bass on them (watermelon)... Next- zoom fluke with a little split shot a few inches in front of the lure.... And for a worm... the best I've tried in ponds without a doubt Blue fleck powerworm...... a lot of ponds may have a lot of pressure... and you'll have to downsize then... to a spinning rod and a dropshot rig.... and some I've used that work great are Zoom trick worm and the smaller Zoom 4 to 5 inch worms.... if you still don't get a bite- go wacky and wacky rig with a dropshot.... I love a cloudy day cause that means a good chance of catching fish on topwaters.... zara spook is still tough to beat....but you'll need an assortment of topwaters.... chuggers, buzzbaits, etc.. pop r... I also love that chrome blue back lure... hotspot, rapala, rat l trap etc.... Good luck and let us know if you catch any...

My Bass Are Very Aggressive Nowadays
I hate to tell you this, cause you'll catch these lunkers now... I had same prob.... go to tackle shop and buy some split o rings.... don't need to buy any more hooks... put the o rings in and then the hooks....the hook will set deeper in the water and you'll get a solid and I mean solid hookset.... Also, wait until you feel the fish pull...let me know if this helps- but I know it will...

Bank Fishing
well a little tip... I usually stomp around -so eager to make a cast, I scare off any fish close to shore... If you see a spot you like ..don't walk along the shore... take a 90 degree angle and come in slowly... the bass are so skitish and will swim off...points are good to fish... anywhere there is a little something different- like 1 little stickup, out in the open .... sudden dropoffs, etc. I'm the first one to get disgusted easily, but truth is a smaller water should be easier to catch fish there.... It's just a puzzle... once you find it... lookout... 2 times I can recall I nearly left... and had 2 of my best trips.... one was luck... I had tried most everything and saw a rapala I didn't know I had and end up catching 22 bass... another time.... I thought it out... water muddy... haven't had a bite... but weather was nice... these fish are going to be shallow to eat because thats where the most visiibility is..... need some flash.... tied on a big double willowleaf with a lot of flash... and filled my basket up all day on 2 to 6 lb. bass..... Hope this helps and good luck.

Recommendations For Tackle In Texas.
depends on what the weather is doing at the time... I really haven't ever fished a stick bait, but it's a big fish lure and catches them when the bite is tough from what I've heard.... Senkos are great...weightless, dropshot, tx rigged, etc... Zoom fluke is a good springtime bait... for sure bring some red rat l traps or hot spots... big fish catcher down here is powerworm in blue fleck... however, you won't catch as many but I prefer the 10 inch powerworm as it really brings in the bigger fish... Big willowleaf spinnerbaits.... booyah... and terminator spinnerbaits... Bomber fat free shad is good for crankin' and isn't super expensive.... Dropshottin can be very effective in spring as fish are highly pressured... and you may have to downsize when the fish getting a lot of pressure.... weather is critical... as an incoming cold front can shut you down... of course lizards are always a sure bet this time of year... good luck on your trip and let us know how u did...

Movarus said a fluke watermelon and he's right !!!!! You can texas rig it... put it on weighted hook and let it go deep... work it close to the top.. anything you wanna do with it... if they ain't biting that go home !!! my #1 lure for small lakes......... Gotta stick a senko in there as well.... it's as deadly as a fluke.......... I like most senkos but now I'm sold on the Shimmey stick only at wal mart $2.99 ... give them a try..........

Old Spinnerbait lure... can't remember who makes it????
While it's cold and I can't fish.. thought I'd see if anybody remembers who makes this old lure I had back in high school??? It had a white skirt... silver round blade and had 3 places you could adjust how it ran... to the right- it ran to the right center- straight and to the left.. it would go left... was deadly in laydowns and boat docks as you could get it to run erraticly right into the cover !!!!!!!!!! unfortunately I showed it to an ol fishin buddy and he was so intrigued with it... I GAVE IT AWAY>>>>>>>>>>>>> :'( >

UPDATE- went to bass pro this morning... bought the Pro Qualifier as it was on sale with just a few left for 79.99 special buy... the one for 39.99 didn't seem like 2 good of a reel... and they did have the Rick Clunn reel on a special buy as well........ Also had some Cordell spots for .94 and it was a madhouse trying to get a few, but I bought 4 of those.. Tried to stay in my budget and the bait monkey had his way with me again....

Need advice on spinnerbaits
I hate to say it, but that chatterbait sure gets more bites than anything I throw in white/chart.---- i need to get a good spinnerbait rod and a good trailer hook, as I think a trailer hook is a must with this bait......... 2. Booyah
