Bass Fishing Yak
I've seen JFrancho has a totally awesome rig that is plenty stable to stand in, he has tons of picutres up i found one here... http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1260237816/15 I'm sure he could send you in the right direction, and i believe minn kota just came out with a kayak trolling motor, there is also a lot of room for modifications if you are a do-it-yourselfer. good luck in the search for a boat

Hope I get use to reeling left handed!
Am i the only one that has to do both spinning and baitcasting right handed, my frinds make fun of me because i fish my spinning gear like a lefty would. My left hand is just the most un-coordinated thing ever. with that being said I went through the whole left handed reel thing and i just could not do it, however i really liked the idea of keeping in contact with my reel at all times... so cheaper more simple solution, learn to work the rod with your left hand so your right hand is always ready to reel.

looking for a stand up jig
thanks for the advice guys, this is what i am currently using, but i want to get into making my own jigs so i am looking for a style that they sell a mold for. I tried to cast my own mold out of plaster of paris of the megastrike jig and failed on multiple attempts, i came out with one jig that is usable and thats what brought me here...

looking for a stand up jig
I'm looking for a stand up jig, does the arkie style do this. by stand up i mean when it settles to the bottom will it lay on its back at an angle that makes the trailer look like its in the defensive position. thanks!

Stand up Jig Mold
Looking into buying a mold for a jig that "stands up" I found this one on do-it jig molds but doesn't know if you can put a skirt on it http://www.do-itmolds.com/prodmolds.aspx?c=29 have any of you had experience with this jig head, or do you know a good mold for a quality stand up jig. Thanks!!

Dropshot Rod Suggestions...
I use a shimano crucial 6' 8 ML and i love it. The rod is feather light and sensitive enough to detect the most stubborn of bites. But the feature i like the most is the handle on the rod, it has a perfectly designed finger grove that ensures your front finger is always in contact with the blank as well as increases the ergonomics of the rod, I would definitely take a look at it when you visit the retail store. Best of luck

My First Re-paint
Thanks for the tips and encouragement y'all!

My First Re-paint
yeah, i havent had a chance to go to a craft store so i had to use what i had around the house, which happened to be really old acrylic paints and cheapo tattered brushes. The thin 'detailing' was done with a tooth pick

My First Re-paint
In order to cope with not being able to bass fish, I've been doing a lot of reading on this site, I recently ventured into a section I did not previously visit: tackle making. And I was amazed at the work all you do, I decided it was time for me to try... now its no work of beauty but coming from someone like me who has no artistic skills i'm pretty satisfied and maybe with practice I may improve, So thanks to all of you for getting me started! I call it crude craw

Some Red Eyed Shad repaints
Do you paint right over the original paint, or do you take off the original paint?

I'm freakin out!
Been through this my self, found that taking up ice fishing helps. Still not the same, but certainly helps

favorite pitching and/or flipping bait?
reaction innovations sweet beaver in green pumpkin red flake or zoom super hog in green pumpkin and red, those were my two biggest producers this past season.

your opinion ?
What all are you using that for? I back all my reels with 30# and occasionally use a leader of flouro if I think its necessary. I use braid for jigs, t-rigs, spinnerbaits, topwater, i will use a leader with carolina rigs or on jigs and t-rigs in extremely clear water, but most of the time i fish straight braid. the only time i use other things is on my spinning reels, for most finesse techniques or crank baits.
-
your opinion ?
i would also recommend using 30 pound that's what i use on most of mine and love it. as far as rods go i would go with the lamiglas 7 mh fast like said before. The warranty on the lamiglas is limited life time, and the mojo is 5 years I believe. Lamiglas is also American made. best of luck

Revo s Vs. Citica
the E-series citicas and curados are certainly low but i think the others were talking about how wide they are. That is what I was referring to, thank you snoopy, I should have been more clear.

Good small fishing boat?
maybe look into a porta-bote, i'm in the same situation and i looked into all the other options and this one seemed to be the one most fit for me, i'm working on getting one my self, i have yet to hear anything negative about them.

Revo s Vs. Citica
Bulky? The Citica E is almost an ounce lighter than the revo. I haven't seen the new revos but compared to the revo s out now the Citica has just as small of a profile if not smaller. I'm not talking about weight. when compared side by side the revo has a smaller profile. I was just telling him in case that might play a role in his final selection

Double hook jig
I might be one of the few, but i love the snag proof bass grabber jig, the one with the double hook. however i cannot justify spending 8$ for a jig. So i was wondering if anyone knew if they sell a jig head with the double hook, or if there is a mold for it. any information would be wonderful thanks!

Lamiglas XMG 50
Any one have one of these or heard anything about them? Saw them on TW and i've never seen any other rod like them, just curious.

Revo s Vs. Citica
It depends what application you are looking for. For me, the citica is a bit bulky if you are looking for a smaller profile in a reel go with the revo. But the best advice is to go to a store which carries both, (gander mountain, bps, cabellas.. etc) and just see which one fits better into your hands, then bam you have your reel.
