  1. Yeah possibly I need to get a pretty decent size one though I have a ton of plastics so I can throw all kinds of different stuff for my clients b/c they most likely haven't fished much. So they just don't stick to one thing I haven't seen a worm binder that has more than 8-10 pages per one, I might be able to cram some more in there though. Check BPS. They have several different sizes. I have a few of their double bags. Pretty sure there is 10 pages in each side. They have a Jumbo bag that is huge with a shoulder strap. You can get additional pages for them also. Mine are stuffed with 2 or 3 bags in each page. They have zipper pockets for terminal tackle too. Good bags. Shortbasser
  2. Well, I just gave the 1/8 pro model a week-long workout last week on Lake Gaston. I managed to get it hung in some rip rap and a few stumps. Never lost the first one. The only one I did lose came on a hook set where I got a bit carried away and snapped the line. I was fishing it with a Baby Rage craw and caught my share of fish with it. Much better than the original model. Never had the bait pull off the wire. Shortbasser
  3. Big Brown truck delivered mine today. Going to give 'em a good test next week on Gaston. Thanks Bobby! Shortbasser
  4. Head on over to Tackle Warehouse. They have them in stock. Shortbasser
  5. Bass Boat Saver., I use it on my Skeeter and my buddy used it to get the stains off his aluminum Lowe and it Didn't remove any paint. Shortbasser
  6. I use the Hydrilla Hacker blade on my 81# MG. It does a good job. I got mine from Kipawa before they sold it to Mercury. It appears they have stopped production of it but you might still find one here. www.motortechva.com/ Talk to Tom and he should be able to fix you up. Shortbasser
  7. I have been using BBS for several years. I use it on the whole boat and motor including the carpet. It cleans, preserves and UV protects plus leaves a nice waxed look. No need to wipe it down after it dries which is real quick. I have spent up to 2 weeks on the water without pulling the boat and it takes very little effort to get the scum line off using BBS. Great product. I tried/used BTS 1 time and really wasn't happy with the result. Folks are surprised when they find out my rig is 5 years old and still shines/looks new. I'm "hooked" on BBS. 8. I wipe mine down after every trip. Have been using Bass Boat Saver for several years. It gets rid of the scum line with very little effort even if it has dried. It will get stains out of the carpet also. I use 3M products for waxing/cleaning. Shortbasser
  9. Check out these folks. Best prices I have ever found on Revo reels. The "S" is on sale for $114.95. http://www.baitnhook.net/abugarciabaitcastingreels.aspx Shortbasser
  10. Easy solution for that. Get a set of culling clips. They float on top and easy to grab. Shortbasser
  11. It gets most of it off. I have used a bristle brush on the inside surfaces. If it is an old stain you might have to use an aluminum cleaner. I like 3M products. Shortbasser
  12. I use Bass Boat Saver and it does a good job. I use it for the whole boat. Shortbasser
  13. I was pretty sure that you were headed for a "dry run" had you just gone on down that way without checking. As you said it was down last week when we fished our tourney and my buddy said it was lower on Tues. So based on my experience with the wind and all I thought I might save ya a trip. Once the winds shift it will come back and hopefully some fish with it. You can bet the water will have plenty of trash in it too and probably off color. Give it a day or so and all that crud will be up here near my back door. I am less than 5 minutes from the upper end of West Neck creek. I hope to be out on the water some time this week too. Not about to give up this early in the year. Shortbasser
  14. Might ought to call someone down that way and find out if there is any water in the creek/river. With all the NNE wind we have had it could be darned near dry. One place you can call is West Neck Marina. If he says it is low there you can bet money it is low everywhere on that system. 426-6735 is the number. Shortbasser
  15. Sure can. Been there, done that. A little "dab" will do it. Shortbasser
  16. I did a quick google search for Mercury outboard parts and it turned up this place. Just follow the parts look-up for your motor. Your going to find it. Pictures too !! www.crowleymarine.com/mercury_mercruiser_parts.cfm Shortbasser
  17. I use KVD Line and Lure conditioner on all my reels/line. It works just fine and displaces water. I spray all my reels at the end of my trips and let it dry and then wipe the reels down. No corrosion worries any more. If I have any backlash problems while fishing I hit the line with a shot of it and let it dry before using that rod/reel. Never have had a problem with it becoming sticky. Shortbasser
  18. Have you used that site before? Something looks funny to me about it. Yep, I have bought quite a bit of tackle from them both on-line and via the phone. It is legit. No problems ever with them. It just happens to be run by a bunch of gals and they do know their gear. They usually ship via USPS Priority Mail and usually the same day you order if it is not too late. Shortbasser
  19. If your fishing Rage baits you will soon find that a bottle of Mend-it is your new best friend. I have repaired my fair share of Rage Shads and some of them several times. The key is to not let them get too torn up. Check out the price on Mend-it at this place. I am sure you will like it. http://www.fishingworld.com/brannansbass/ Shortbasser
  20. I use the Ardent system and it works fine. I have poked a hole in the thin membrane right behind the lower lip. Also have inserted the clip behind the gill plate and out the mouth. No hole and the clips are big enough that they swing free. No damaged gills. Shortbasser
  21. I get all my TM work done in Suffolk. Place is called Motor Tech. Guy you want to talk to is Tom Foster. He is the owner and knows his stuff. Can get him at 800-559-8119. Web site is: www.motortechva.com. He can no doubt give ya a pretty good idea of what/where if ya call him or hit him with an email. Good guy and a fisherman. Shortbasser
  22. They are different. You want a cranking/starting battery with the highest reserve capacity. I put an Interstate 24M-XHD with 135 RC in my Skeeter in '05 and it is still running strong. For sure your livewell and most electronics run off the cranking battery. If you can find an area distributor you might get a better deal price wise on Interstates. Probably be more than $75 if not. 12 month no cost replacement and pro-rated after that up to 30 months. I have had good luck with them for a good many years. Shortbasser Would this be a series 27 battery? I think that is what I have for my starting battery. Nope. That would be a series 24 battery. My guess would be that if your running your original batteries that you have a group 24 for a cranking batt. I use SRM-27's for my trolling motor. If you head to http://www.interstatebatteries.com and click on "vehicle batteries" then "marine" it will take you to a page where you can click on "features/specs" and see all of their batteries and figure out what you might want to put in there. Then go shopping with that model/size info and maybe find a deal. They do have a series 27 cranking battery that has a whopping 180 RC. It's a brute and quite heavy. Shortbasser Thanks for the info, I did take a peek at my battery and it is a Interstate 24 SRM ! I called a Gander store and they have both the 24 SRM and the 24M XHD,both are $89.99. I do have a gift card for $60.00 so that would help. Not sure what the differance is between the two batteries? [i did go on the Interstates web site but they don't give much info between the two Dan I just checked my Interstates and here is the difference in the two. SRM-27 600 CCA 750 MCA 24M-XHD 800 CCA 1000 MCA The SRM series is a Deep cycle/starting battery. The 24M series is a cranking/starting battery. So you would want the 24M for cranking and running all your electronics. SRM for the TM. Shortbasser
  23. Cabelas Fish Eagle XML rods are on sale. C776FS MH finesse flipping stick $69.99 (half price). Got mine and put the weight balance kit on it. Lighter than my old BPS Extreme. Nice rods. Shortbasser
