  1. Not to mention the same body styles, Burner logo, they say Performance tuned, and have the quantum symbol on the cast control knob.
  2. BPS Crankin Stick, leaves you some money for some LC RC baits.
  3. they also make Gander Mtn. baitcasters too Quantum makes the new GM series reels the older elites sure look like pinnacle visions I don't see Pflueger anywhere
  4. That's what I use, mines a Gen 1 but haven't had any problems.
  5. Maybe it's just me but I'm not gonna fish a Core or a Steez on a Lightening Rod or a Bionic Blade. I just can't bring myself to it, I felt weird fishing a Fuego on a FS TEC-SPEC rod. I think if your gonna fork it out for one, you should do the other justice. I don't have any experience with the swimbait rods but if my 7'M Zillion is any indication, it should make for a mighty fine setup.
  6. It always seems that malwarebytes is the solution, I wouldn't be surprised if they are creating them in the first place
  7. I had 13 staples in my back after my surgery a few years ago. They are easier to care for than stitches and come out almost painless. I remember having stitches as a kid and the removal was horrid but the staples are simple. The doctor actually told us that we could remove them at home with a sterilzed set needlenose if we couldn't make the appointment and to just keep it clean. At the office it took all of about 30 seconds to remove them, didn't feel a thing.
  8. the 7'M is the crankin rod for the bucoo series, I belive it's a moderate action. I was never impressed by the mojos, I thought about getting one but never did, they just didn't feel right in store. There are plenty of other options though, personally I'd stick with the Crankin Sticks.
  9. Bought one a week or so ago and took it out Sunday and was pretty surprised by how much I liked it. I bought the 7'M-XF and paired it with a Fuego and 10lb fluoro for the time being, now it has a Citica 200e. It balances decently well with the fuego, better with the citica, it's alot lighter than some comparable rods, mojo, triumph, tessera, and the BPS extremes and bionic blades. The sensitivity is probably the best I've seen in a sub $100 rod. I fished a little bit of everthing on it from a crankbait to a 1/8 oz shakey head and a 5/16oz jig without a problem. I plan on using it for jerkbaits, shallow cranks, and smaller plastics and finesse jigs from the bank. I haven't had a chance to catch a fish on it yet, only fished for an hour with it in 30mph winds with the water about a ft high and muddy, but I don't think it'll have any trouble when one hooks up.
  10. I DVRed it and watched it yesterday. So far I'm liking it and hope it is consistant through out. I didn't see the other on Discovery, I'll have to search for it, they usually replay them several times. I always like the History channels shows like that, one of my favorites is tge Amercan Presidents, they did a full day marathon on presidents day and I loaded my DVR.
  11. You can't go wrong with either a Patriarch or Curado. I have both, 2 Patriarchs and 4 Curados, I personally prefer the Curado for it's low profileand spool access. I originally swore by the Patriarch and the dual braking but it's sort of unneeded, I hardly ever use the mag brake any more unless tge wind kicks up.
  12. If you're looking for a rod for an Alpha, I would consider the Daiwa Zillion 7'M. I have one paired with a 103 and it is amazing for jerkbaits, shakey heads, and tubes. I got mine from gloomis.us on eBay for around $170. The combo is extremely light and well balanced and throws 3/16oz jerkbaits a good ways with ease.
  13. I use co-poly and some fluorocarbon, can't stand braid, more trouble than it's worth.
  14. Actually I do. I fish a local impound here that has tons of hydrilla & milfoil. Any given day you can catch a 5+ lber and have another 5lbs of slop. Currently I have a couple of Johnny Morris Elite 7' Med Hvy. They work fine most of the time but occasionally I get a fish that's controlling me instead of vice versa. That's never a good feeling in a tournament. The American Rodsmith's Denny Brauer Wreckin Stix look sweet but I've can't find one locally to hold. I have a hard time dropping $180 on a rod I've never held. A buddy has a wreckin stick, I wouldn't advise buying one, they are ok but I have found better for less. When comparing his 7'6''H Wrecking Stick to my 705 or 766 Powell for his intended purposes, carolina rigging and flipping, the Powell wins out everytime for being lighter, better balanced, more powerful for the 766, and cheaper all around. The Nitro is truely a rod to "horse" a fish out of cover, plenty of power for that.
  15. The crankbait rod seems worthless, no backbone at all. The Spinnerbait rod would make a good crank rod though.
  16. I use my E5 as my deep crank reel, for anything under 12ft I use a Daiwa Sol. For lipless I use a higher speed reel, E7, Zillion SHA, Patriarch 64LP, anything on the MH-H rod I am not using at the time for something else.
  17. Felt the same way about my 6'10"MH Gold when I first got it. I use it as a jerkbait/shallow crank rod and is one of my favorite rods.
  18. Every Revo S I've had has been junk, had 2 of them, they weren't very smooth, felt tight, not tge good tight but almost a grinding feeling, they also didn't cast as far as similar reels I had, Quantum Code and Pflueger Asaro. The SX, however, was one of the smoothest reels I have ever felt. I would say try for a Curado, common to find for $150, other than that, I would say either a Citica or a JM.
  19. 17lb stren is piano wire, I suggest you go to walmart and get some eagle claw line. Here it is like $3 for 700 yrds. Use it til you are comfortable then get some better line.
  20. They're big, heavy, clumsy, and unbalanced...I'd suggest you look at another rod unless you need a broomstick.
  21. I use a 7'9''MH Dobyns Mike Long Swimbait Rod, 50HS Revo Toro, and 20lb P-Line CXX for most of my swimbaits of size. The smaller ones like hollow paddletails, Spro BBZ Shads, TT Tru-Life, and other small, lighter baits, I use a 7'H, sometimes a MH.
  22. yep...they're in the saltwater BPS as well. Buddy of mine was talking about them the other day, saw them on a saltwater show....I bet they'd work for bass
  23. I'd sure like to have some of those candle tail worms and multi sticks
