Rod for Curado E7
My curados are on a 705 Powell, 766 Powell, and a 703 savvy. I like curados on the powells because the colors match but they feel really good on the savvy as well.

New Curado
I love how the Scorpions look. I don't think the E is going anywhere for a while though. I would imagine an E6 or 100E would hit us before a new design.

When would you use a medium action rod?
I have two medium baitcasting rods, a 6'6"M Pro Qualifier and a 7'M Zillion. The PQ gets pushed aside nowadays but used to use it for just about everything aside from jigs, the Zillion is my tube/shakey head rod. A M rod is good for cranks, light t-rigs, tubes, topwater, etc...

Picking some crankbaits
For lipped cranks I would go for Bomber Fat Free Shads and the Strike King Pro Model cranks. I mostly use the Fat Free Shad Jr.s and Strike King Series 5-6. I really like Rootbeer, Pearl Shad, Citruse, Tennessee Shad, and Pearl White in the Bomber baits; Rootbeer, Sexy Shad, Gizzard Shad, Pearl Black/Splatter for the Strike King. Rapala DT's wouldn't be bad choices either. For shallow runners I like LC RC baits. Lipless I'd go SK Red Eye Shads and Excalibur XR's. I tend to like more shad and natural colors.

Tighten the drag, push down on the drag star, and rotate counter clock-wise.

BaitMonkey won´t release it´s grip
That's what you get for taunting it...."I need make an order from *** but can't think of anything I want." Remember saying that sometime last year?

I just don't trust this thing
That was my first impression, at first glance I thought "man, that thing looks neat" but just wasn't sure about the design. Graphite doesn't scare me like it seems to others, treat it right and you shouldn't have a problem. I'll probably end up with it cause I just think it looks neat, wouldn't be the first time I spent money on something I didn't need and realize I couldn't use it, anybody want to buy a Castaway Big Show Flipping Stick ;D I'm gonna be using it for crappie/bluegill so the spool size doesn't really bother me. I plan on probably 4-6lb.

question about buying a new rod
Like they said, it's really up to him whether he wants to learn baitcasting better or stick with spinning.

I just don't trust this thing
http://www.***.com/Okuma_Trio_Spinning_Reel/descpage-OKTSR.html# I am going to get a 7'L-ML spinning rod for crappie jig, bobber fishing. I'll probably get an Okuma Reflexion just for the price and was looking at Okuma spinning reels and saw the Trio. It LOOKS nice at first glance but then I noticed the joint on the neck It just doesn't look like a good idea to me.

I know what you mean, My DVR is setup to record City Limits on Vs. Started to watch one that recorded at 5:30 AM on a Saturday and it was a "Male Enhancement" infomercial. Now who is gonna be up at 5:30 watching Vs. I would say anyone that would be up that early and inclined to watch it is gonna be either driving to the lake, out on the water, or sitting in a blind around that time.

How much more can I feel with a rod having no foregrip??
I get what your saying and that's how I felt when I first got my Pro Qualifier a few years ago. It was the first rod I had used without a foregrip and it does allow more blank contact. I don't think it makes enough difference to switch everything but it is something to consider when making a new purchase. For me, long foregrips and my short, fat fingers don't mesh well so I feel a bit better about getting a rod without a foregrip.

Difference Between Good & Great Crankbait Rods?
I personally like a more sensitive rod for cranking. I started out with a BPS Crankin Stick which is a great, cheap cranking rod. Then I got my Lucky Craft cranking rod and it's a world of difference. You don't notice the need of a more expensive cranking rod until you use one. To be able to tell the difference between a fish, weed, rock, etc... is very helpful. The Lucky Craft rod isn't top end by any means but many people think $150 is too much for a cranking rod but it's money well spent.

what is the heaviest lb test fluoro you can put on a Spinning reel?
My dad uses 17lb minimum on Pflueger size 40 spinning reels for bass fishing. The reel specs really have nothing to do with what you can use. A 12lb+ fish can strip just as much drag with 8lb as it can 15lb line.

Crankin' Sticks?
I would go for a BPS Crankin Stick, either the 7', 7'6'', or 7'10'' MH

Abu Garcia Black Max improvement tips
- Viscious flourocarbon?
I used the 15lb when Wal-Mart started carrying it a few years ago. It didn't seem very strong for 15lb line and was extremely stiff with poor manageability.- Ultralight reels - Shimano Sedona 500 vs. Pflueger President 6720x

If you notice, KVD puts alot more effort into ripping his baits free than others do.- Swept in handles on casting reels, love 'em or hate 'em??
I've got a few reels with swept handles and havent had any problems with them.- P-line Floroclear
I like it, I've heard people don't but I do. I use 8-10lb on my spinning reel and 12lb on my shallow crank/jerkbait and tube/shakey head baitcasters. In the smaller diameters it is strong and manageable, not as strong as CXX but much more manageable.- Lipless Crank Rig
I use my crankbait setups...either a 7'MH Lucky Craft rod and Curado E5 or a 6'10MH Carrot Stix Gold and a Daiwa Sol.- Worm Rod Setup Suggestions.
Shimano doesn't participate in the trade in. You didn't specify spinning or casting but either way, I would say go with a pro qualifier or carbonlite setup. I hear the carbonlites have been low on stock so the pro qualifier may be easier to obtain. I would go 7'MH. - Viscious flourocarbon?
