  1. This year I have bought 5 rods and 3 or 4 reels. It's getting about time to sell some stuff for newer gear
  2. Looks real nice and all but I'm probably grab a Supreme XT when they come out.
  3. I know that Duckett took Terry Scroggins and Byron Velvick with him when he started the Ronald McDonald Micro Magic rods. I think Pete Ponds is with them, but they have Charlie Moore still, who else do they need
  4. now that's funny, the patriarch only comes in 7.1 LH, what do you call a 201e7
  5. haha...that would be something to see...or on ninja warrior...is that show even still on? I wouldn't count out Bill Dance though, he has had plenty of practice in the falling department ;D
  6. I personally prefer the BPS XPS, to me, there's not much difference in Trilene 100% and Vanish, waste of money. The XPS is very limp and very manageable, never tried the seaguar though
  7. so what is your choice, you're sending mixed signals ;D : One problem I've had with the Titanium Deposition coating is that it tarnishes very easily, both of my mine must have had a little salt on them from baits because they had green tarnish spots on them at the start of the year, cleans off easily though
  8. WGFS hands down, also like the BASSMASTERS and FLW event coverage, and City Limits, Bass Pros, Jimmy Houston, and Scott Martin Challenge are set on my DVR as well.
  9. Ok....I have two narrow spool patriarchs and 4 curados, 3 e7s and an e5. I have come to prefer the curado over my patriarchs, don't fish them much any more, I don't like the screw on handle, and after a few years I have come to realize the dual braking is just added weight. It is nice to have at first and helps out an uneducated thumb tremendously, but now I find myself not using the mag brake much at all, just when I really need it, which comes in handy. I also bought my patriarchs for an average of $20 less than my curados, $130 for the payriarchs and $150 for the curados. Now the XT is almost $70 more than the E7 and I don't really know why with the exception of a fancy handle
  10. Yeah, he played with Axel for a bit before "Chinese Democracy" when he dropped the rest of GNR, then he dropped them too.
  11. Bingo....alot more to than just "here, we'll give you rods and reels if you don't fish anything else."
  12. I've not been watching the coverage but soccer games are usually intense. Offsides is kinda a weird rule, if a team is in possession of the ball, then an offensive player without the ball that is between the last defender and the goalie is considered offsides and cannot contact the ball until repositioned in front of the last defender.
  13. no special water, just magic cookies
  14. Found out about Buckethead in high school, man he is one crazy guitarist, probably my all-time favorite. It's crazy how he's stuck to his back-story for so many years, with the exception of the KFC bucket, stupid KFC lawsuit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdBGFNPxcv8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okbJv4SLyGs
  15. The 7'MH is a good all around rod. It's not overly stiff, has a softer tip but good back bone. I would say go for the 7'H if you plan on mostly fishing plastics, 7'MH if you'll stick more to tge moving baits. Either would work extremely well.
  16. Best rod EVER You should look at the lucky craft cranking rods and powell cranking series rods. ;D
  17. It would help to know what reels you bought, it sound like they are 6-pin centrifugal braking reels meaning a Revo S and either a President, Asaro, Trion, or Centina. At any rate, the side plate will remove, should be a screw on the crank side you can move with your finger. Inside, on the spool, are plastic stabs or caps, press them all toward the center then press every other one out, that will give you 50% braking on to start.
  18. I really don't care for the action of the MH magnesium, it's kinda slow and i like a faster, stiffer rod. I have a 7'M Daiwa Zillion rod that I use for those techniques, I feel that it's alot more powerful than my MH Kistler.
  19. the volteaus is basically an ugly stick. The Lightening Rods are good rods but the Lightening Rod Shock and Abu Garcia Vengeance would be better. The Field and Stream Tech Specs are nice for the price too if you have a Dicks near-by.
  20. The Manns original 1-minus is a monster shallow crank with a really wide wobble
  21. I get them at walmart...I think there are 10 ina pack for a like a 1.50
  22. I have two that I like to throw jerkbaits on, the first is my shallow crank rod, a 6'10"MH carrot stix gold with a Daiwa Sol. The second is my tube/shakey head rod, a 7'M Daiwa Zillion with an Alphas 103. The carrot stix has a bit softer tip and allows me to throw smaller, lighter jerkbaits a but further, the Zillion is stiffer and is a bit more sensitive. It really depends on which I have or isn't in current use as to which I use but both are wonderful. I recently tried to replace the Carrot Stix with a Loomis CBR843 but I just didn't care for it.
