  1. I think this was posted earlier this year and led to heated debate that got locked....it is funny, but just a heads up. I could be wrong though, that's been happening alot lately.
  2. yeah, if you get checked on the way back it'll go bye bye
  3. I don't like them, I prefer Owner mosquito hooks
  4. Both are great reels but if there's a thought that you should get a curado, go ahead. And the E5 is a great crankbait reel, I also prefer a bit slower gear ratio
  5. I heard a couple guides talking about these not long ago. I have yet to see one. Just got in to musky fishing last fall. Didn't catch anything the weekend we tried but I had a monster slam a double cowgirl I was throwing. The combination of fear, excitement, and not enough rod caused me to not catch it. Hopefully by this fall I will be ready for them. I'd like to head out there again this fall, think he'd be up for it? This is what we'll throw, we all like throwing a tube. 12''
  6. I've thrown a Double cowgirl a time or two. Fished a Medussa for about 35 minutes once, I'm too out of shape to fling 8-1/4oz of plasticrubber all day. haha.....they'll hit any thing, had one headbutt a Mattlures Ultimate Bluegill and hook itself on the stinger hook.
  7. it does indeed, I really like the way the shift looks too. I think they are the top of the line and are $180 canadian. If I'm not mistaken, the R-type is a step down from the shift....maybe? http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast10rapalacanada.html
  8. I wish I had that kind of money to spend, I wouldn't be shore bound or driving a Tacoma....here's what I really bought and 4 sets of these for some of my daiwa reels
  9. Greed? ;D How is selling a product that you produce through your own website greed?
  10. I didn't like them because of the high price. At some of the current prices, they'd be worth trying out.
  11. looks like it has a touch of the herpes
  12. Well since the Patriarch an new Supreme XT aren't available yet and the old xt is fugly, I'm going to disagree. I would suggest a regular Supreme or President for the lower price point or a Stradic CI4 for a higher prices offering
  13. same here....2.50 at Dicks
  14. I wouldn't worry too much about colors...does this look like anything swimming around in your water?
  15. I'm right there with you, anacondas, thumper, spacemonkey, rooster, lizards, craws, and shad. I've caught maybe two fish on the small anaconda.
  16. I've used them before with some success. Berkley isn't my favorite brand but they're not bad. My big beef with power worms are the color selections but I have been able to find a some really good colors in the shakey worm.
  17. I would say a 30 would be fine. Personally, I would take the standard supreme over the XT. If nothing else, for aesthetics alone, the xt is ugly.
  18. I'm gonna have to disagree, I take it you are talking about the older accurist and I am assuming he is interested in the new tour. I would say these reels are far from similar, both in performance and price. I have a new energy that I really like but never used a new tour, used the blue ones but that's a different beast. Based on my energy, I would say the tour is a nice reel, I've always wanted one.
  19. Never heard of them....wait....are they the ones that were rated higher than the cumulus?
  20. Spot on....I have several rods with suggested techniques on them, I may use them for that technique or I may not. Things like dropshot and shakey head rods just boggle my mind. alot of companies put out these short, weak rods for these techniques, I like a good 7'+M rod for both techniques, I feel like I get more control.
