Duckett Micro Magic: Any Reviews?
It's pretty amazing that a rod that was hardly used is credited for his win. If you looked at the baits on the rods, the Duckett rods had "clean" baits, the rods he primarily used had baits with stained plastic from the grass.

Are those bass?
I have come to ignore surface disturbances that are questionable. At the lake I fish, shad are constantly breaking the surface, if it's not huge then I don't really bother and still then I probably won't. I have never even had a bite on topwater at the lake I currently fish, and it's not for lack of trying.

Sceintific Studies on The handleing Of Bass
I'd be interested in a study that shows the effects of shoving hooks through their faces. I rarely lay a fish on the ground, unless is gets loose from my grip, and pictures are quick cell pics. I have never had a fish die because I held it out of the water to take pictures, I have had gut hooked fish die though, it happens from time to time. One thing I dont really understand is the "to net or not to net" discussion. It seems to me that putting a fish in a net is better than letting it flop around on the hot carpet.

New reel probably not the last
I bought one last year and now have 4. I really like them, they cast great, not the smoothest but really take a beating. I too will probably pick up a 50 after they are released.

Shakey Head?
First of all...without tge patience to learn tge technique, you'll never get it. All those techniques are similar but worlds apart, if that makes sense. I suggest the articles here and YouTube videos. One thing to remember is that nomatter what you fish, you have to do what's comfortable for you. The pros may talk textbook but they are walking contradictions. The 9-11 positions may be textbook for bottom baits but watch some of those guys fish a deep worm...more like 10-2...sorry got of topic

Chartreuse colored baits
Im not a big chartreuse fan, I don't normally buy chartreuse baits but I do have chartreuse JJs if I wanna add some color. One of the lakes back home is really clear and it seems to work there pretty well

do you like your rod and reel to match?
Went through that last year, had to match my Alphas 103. The only rods I really came up with were the St. Croix Mojo and Airrus Puls-R, but neither really did it for me. Ended up with a Daiwa Zillion rod, best decision I have made so far. As for my answer The damiki with the zillion now has a new revo sx

I need a rod under $150
the Skeet Reese rod is a crankbait rod at best, not gonna be good for singlehooks...I'd say go for the Vendetta

Duckett Micro Magic: Any Reviews?
That epoxy yellows really quick and on a white rod, it doesn't look good. From what I can tell the look pretty cheap and I've heard they sacrificed blank quality for price reduction

I need a rod under $150
You SHOULD get the rod free for purchasing the shirt....not a fan From what you had listed I would say Vendetta or Superlite....the Carrot Stix and Bucoo are nice too. It all depends on what you are gonna use it for

spoons
I cast them out, let em hit the bottom, then just rip it up off the bottom and let it fall again. Fished one this morning ;D

Deciding on my new combo
That was gonna be my suggestion too, then maybe you can add a little for the rod and get something like a Carrot Stix or Quantum Superlite, both currently on sale in the bargain cave and then the current deal is $5 shipping until 7-20.

What baits to throw around grass
matted or subsurface?

Handle on 50e
looks like it has the forged Curado handle with the knobs from the Citica

Quantum Smoke Pt
I'd like to see them as well, kinda hard to tell much form the video. Looks like fuji acs reel seat. The rods seem to be at a good price point, the reels are alittle more but wouldn't care to give them a shot. The one thing I don't like is that new design, the line guide just sticks out, it seems that it'll be around awhile though, it's the newest kvd, energy ss, and reax style

Favorite Flip-Flops
I have a pair of Bluefin sandals that I wear all the time.

Berkley Sensation
I had a spool of 12lb and it's ok. It's limp, soft, and smooth but the abrasion resistance sucks and it's not very strong, I would look else where

Revo S vs. Revo STX!!
sounds to me like you put up a chihuahua against a pitbull

Ike's new reel?
They aren't available on the US market, the new Morrum has been out in Japan for a few years maybe? :-? Looks really nice and I hear its well built. After seeing they were bringing out a high speed Premier, I kinda thought his name would be on some type of variation.

Tackle storage
I use a back pack, the one I have holds a a Plano 3780, 700 series BPS double-sided crank bait box, a Falcon FTO terminal tackle box, a Field and Stream worm/spinnerbait wallet, a plastic bag full of used or loose plastics, a few small pocket stowaway boxes for jigs, and fill in some pockets with bags of baits or cranks still in the package.

Best kind of tubes and colors?
I like BPS Tender tubes and the Magnum Flipping tubes. I also like a tube made by Cabin Creek Baits near here in Winchester. I really like browns and greens and smoke colors

G. Loomis Kicks It Up A Notch!
Not impressed when comparing the actual aesthetics to the price and using two completely different styles of guides just seems tacky. It may be the most light and sensitive G-Loomis yet but if I buy a rod and pay that much, I have to like the way it looks and to me it looks cheap
