Crank Bait Depths
In my tackle bag I have baits that cover just about everything-wakers, 1-minus, 2', 4', 6', 7', 8', 10', 12', 14', 16', 18', 20', and a few 20+ The ones I find myself using the most are wakers, 4', 7', 12', 14', 16', and 18'.

deep crankin reel and rod help
I think the general consensus is a Curado E5 and with good reason. Now you just need to find a rod

kistler rods.
I don't understand why some people get so bent out of shape about where their rods and reels are made. As long as the product is quality then its fine by me. Made in the USA doesn't mean much anymore, at the most, most things are only assembled in the US with components made overseas.

deep crankin reel and rod help
what advantage does the longer rod have? casting distance? or something more Increased casting distance translates into more time in the strike zone. Here's a rough diagram I made a few months ago illustrating the difference between a short cast and a long cast. You're doing yourself a disservice if you throw a true deep diver (>15') on a 7' rod. I see you hit a log on the bottom with the longer cast bet that's where the fish was xxroosterXX: not so great, there are two near town, one sucks and the other isn't bank accessible. I spend most of my time at Cedar Creek, what little time I have to fish lately that is. That's usually as far as I go, have been down to lake linville and cumberland a few times

kistler rods.
I've got two of the Kistler Magnesium rods,7'H and a 7'MH, great rods. Got one on ebay and the other here for great prices. Definitely would like to try the Argons and Heliem II. Friend has a helium LTA, nice rod as well.

ABU REVO Brake Adjustment
thats the one, once unscrewed you have to twist the palm plate, I think counterclockwise.

help on a 7:1 reel
I personally am partial to 6.4 reels and prefer them to 7.1, that being said, I have 4 a Curado E7, Energy PT, and 2 Patriarchs, one 71LP, the other 71WLP. I have all my high speed reels for apps that don't require the reel to move the bait, worms, jigs, flipping. I like a 6.4 for spinnerbaits, small t-rigs, swimbaits, and topwater. 5.1 for cranks

ABU REVO Brake Adjustment
Is it a revo s? should be a screw on the crank side of the real that can be accessed with your thumb, unscrew it, it won't fall out. then twist the non crank side and it should be open.

deep crankin reel and rod help
I have the 7'mh and really like it. Use it for mostly deep divers, have a few dd22s, but mostly sk series5-6, fat free shads, and deep little n's. It's a great rod, quiet sensitive for all fiberglass, a little on the heavy side but lighter than a bps crankin stick of similar size.

Just bought Daiwa Fuego and Sol
Good deal on both reels, I got both of mine slightly used on ebay as well, but there's no questioning the integrity of a new reel.

Curado E5 and a Lucky Craft 7'H cranking rod, $150 each, curado from ebay, Lucky Craft from TW.

Crankbait rod
The best bang for your buck is going to be a bps crankin stick...a great rod with an even better price tag. For shallow cranks I would go with a 7' m or even shorter with a fast to moderate-fast action.

If You had to Keep A Bass to Eat
you got something there....a little walleye cheek meat will cause you to throw every bass back....just doesn't compare. But it is fine to eat bass, not bad, but not the best. I prefer a meal of dinks to a mess of chunks. The lake back home has a slot limit from 12-15'', those 11'' and under bass make a mighty fine meal.

Best line for soft plastics and jigs?
P-Line CXX for most applications, some sort of p-line all baitcasting, yo-zuri hybrid on spinning.
-
Sunfish color
probably going to be a good choice
-
One brand for all applications?
I have two Kistlers and two Carrot Stix and then 6 other rods of different manufacturers. I tend to buy rods that are either on sale or that I find for a good price either here or on ebay

What worms do you like for shaky head
I personally don't like the SK elaztech/3x shakey worms, more trouble than they are worth, extremely stretchy and really hard to get onto a holder or spring. I really like the finesse worms, zoom finesse worms and trickworms, GYCB kut tail worms, and berkley power shakey worms. you can really use anything you want on a shakey rig.
