  1. Whaaaat?? You're crazy! That movie was so cool! Way worse than the original. while closer to the book, I didn't care for it at all. Probably would have been great had it been an original but seriously, noone can compare to gene wilder, simply amazing. As for Alice In Wonderland, looks fantastic, can't wait to see it. I just showed my wife the trailer this weekend. Depp looks like a scary woman though.
  2. I know many people that are iffy about the moss green, if you are one of those people then this is gonna be a good choice. I use both without any difference but my lakes are green stained water. It can be hard to find though, the moss green cxx and flourescent cx are the most common around here.
  3. I have a burner model of the new energy and really think quantum leveled the playing field over last years models. The new ones are tighter, smoother, and lighter. The only thing that gets me is the ACS II system, I know it's a cetrifugal system, but 4 positions is a little hard to get over after the infinite acs of the older models. Overall, get it, it's worth it.
  4. Not gonna find that in bass pro but if it is anywhere near the dark angel it's a good choice. Also gonna add the BPS extreme, a great spinning rod that has a good selection of 2 piece choices.
  5. I have used both in 12lb....evolution is ok but cxx is the line you want when you need strength. I use 20lb cxx for swimbaits but don't really throw anything heavier than 2-3 oz at the most. The managability of cxx is larger sizes is lacking but I would rather give that up than a chance at a lost bait or fish. I like evolution but I like floro-clear better, in smaller sizes but wouldn't trade my cxx for anything.
  6. Fat free shads, sk series 5 and 6, Norman deep little n.
  7. It's most likely from that screw on handle...I'm glad they are getting rid of it
  8. I have the 6'10'' mh gold and use it for shallow cranks and jerkbaits...not even close to a worm rod. I would Get rid of the ltx, the sensitivity of the gold far surpasses the ltx.
  9. love it....perfect for fishing dd22's, HotLips, and Mann's 20+ cranks....and it's light weight magnesium so you won't get tired.
  10. went night fishing with my day a few weeks ago, main baits were black and blue bitsy flips, I used a shakey head and ultravibe speed craw as well. The totals ended up being somewhere around 15 bass, 10 bluegill, and like 30 warmouth. all three species were caught on each bait mentioned. I understand maybe the bitsy flips, but a full sized ultravibe speed craw and a 7'' finesse worm....geez....mean little boogers
  11. My two main ways of fishing are to crank 'em then finesse 'em
  12. love the second from the bottom, would do well around here at 1 or 2 in the morning
  13. I almost bought one a while back. The thing was ridiculously heavy and uncomfortable to hold. Come to thinkof it, it was a 6'2'' EXTRA HEAVY musky rod....not really a fan. But seriously, they may be okay for the money, the musky rod was the only one I have felt. A lightening rod would be a better choice, I know they are lighter and have a feeling they are more sensitive.
  14. dicks has Quantum Code combos for $129 spinning and casting. I have a code baitcaster and would recommend it as a lower budget reel, not the best but good for the money.
  15. for price...the stx...functionality...curado and that's my vote. I have an E7 on a Big Show Flipping Stick with 50lb suffix. With 2 brakes on, back off the spool tension to pitch/flip, roll it up to cast, both functions without having to change the braking.
  16. I'm right handed and to be honest, there is no way I could crankbait fish left handed. The dominant hand and arm, right i my case, enable for cranking without fatigue. When fishing a right hand reel, it's the right hand that does all the work when retrieving and fighting fish, the left just holds the rod, so why would it be awkward to use your dominant hand? I started on a 33, right handed, and then used spinning, left handed, now bait casting, right handed, which couldn't be closer to how I learned to fish. I think it's really about conditioning yourself to one way or another. I personally can't fish a left handed bait caster because I tend to want to reel with a wider circle like I would on a spinning reel, and the same thing goes for a right handed spinning reel.
  17. The John Steinbeck quote is great "It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming."
  18. You should see some of the capabilites on ultrasound equipment today, been doing ultrasound for about a year now out of school and the technology is simply amazing. 3D and 4D rendering of almost anything, babies are all you really hear about because no one really cares about a 3D image of their liver.
  19. I would suggest maybe a BPS combo, bionic blade or extreme.
  20. I wish they would produce the cadbury eggs more than just for easter. I also like the white chocolate reese's but they are only out every so often. They might still make them but I really liked razzles as well.
  21. St. Croix Avid, BPS rods(Pro Qualifier, Extreme), and I have a Castaway Big Show Flipping Stick that is pretty nice
  22. I have heard that the Revo's (SX in this case) balance perfectly on a 7'H Powell Max. I have an S on my 7'MH Kistler Mag and it is great too.
  23. A crankin stick is the best value that BPS has to offer IMO. Should be well equipped for all your cranking needs. I was using a 7'M for fat free shads and SK Series 5-6 before I got my Lucky Craft, and it handled them wondefully, the DD22 may give you a fit, atleast they were always tougher for me.
