  1. a new series in the $100 price range from Lamiglas http://tackletog.com/cal/2009/07/10/tt-producttpreview-new-rods-from-lamiglas/
  2. Have a 6'10''MH...the best shallow crank rod known to man...or at least to me
  3. try a bluegill type hard bait that turns around when you stop and twitch it
  4. And as for the DBS, I have three patriarchs that have dual braking and have not had any trouble. A buddy has two more and another has a JM sig that hasn't had any problems either.
  5. Haven't fished the new reel but really like the way it looks and feels. I really like the rods, probably their best value, a great leap from the extreme but at a good price on sale. I would say go for it, the only word of advice would be to feel the combo first, bass pro rods tend to be bad at gaining excessive weight in longer and higher rated models.
  6. Heavy...no...strong and abrasion resistant.....yes....
  7. I actually have one on the way from m and m fishing, should be here soon
  8. wow! you say they're called "swimbaits" huh? Whadda they look like? Dude, we all know about swimbaits (you'd have to live pretty far off the fishing grid to be unaware of swimbaits), the topic at hand is just a specific kind or brand of swimbait that is new. aren't they the ones with the plastic lips....they swim right? must be swim baits ;D
  9. This is what I love about Icast....gonna get a tidal wave of used patriarchs, revos, and any other redesign...
  10. the really need to get the bronze off of the premier new and old....handle looks nice though
  11. definitely nice looking rods...really went with the JDM look and a nice price tag to match...If they perform well, the Mojo has some stiff competition and the Bucoo may be blown out of the water.
  12. Not big on the blue...may look different in person though.
  13. I don't think you'll see many boats in texas without at least one on the deck, or so I have heard. I have a 7'6''H Big Show Flipping Stick, Terry Scroggind Sig., and I like it alright, great rod, light and tough, I just haven't had a chance to fish it much this year due to work. A quality rod, I got it on sale at TW for $100 right before christmas.
  14. My dad uses 17lb mono on his size 40 reelfor bass.
  15. BPS tender tubes
  16. If the Lucky Craft RCs are still on sale I would try a 1.5...best shallow cranks available IMO I would also take a look at fat free shads, Strike King cranks and Red Eye Shads, excalibur xr 50, and the BPS XPS cranksm good baits and a good price. The Bass Pro brand of plastics is worth a look as well
  17. The code is a good reel, it was my first bc reel and is still going strong. I would not pay the 120 that they are at walmart but for 80 they are great. I would suggest a bps extreme combo if you have a store near.
  18. I really like to fish the Redeye shads, Xr 50s and Yo-Zuri Hardcore Drums.
  19. I have had alot of success on the Manns Elite Wakers...and just got an Ima Roumba which has an amazingly wide wobble. Good alternative to a topwater and can produce just about anytime of day.
  20. He created ebay and runs the sales at Tackle Warehouse...and I think Brent works for him as well.
