  1. What's the deal? It seems that all of a sudden, EVERYTHING that can swim is being called a swimbait. Call me old school but when I think "swimbait", I think a 10" or 12" minimum,....Hudds as an example. (some of Matt lures stuff would be the exception here) Now paddle tail type baits (shad body baits) are being called swimbaits too. Well geez, just about EVERY bait "swims", even a jig. I just wish they would class the stuff more realistically. I bet it has something to do with search engines. It's like the companies are "piggy backing" off the ever so popular "swimbait" meta tag.
  2. Found them. Although they are calling them a swimbait, it's essentially a 5" shad body. ( solid body basstrix)
  3. I don't know about BETTER than a fluke but I would say they are comparable. I didn't even know they made swimbaits, anyone got a pic?
  4. One of the most versatile, deadly baits made. One of my 5 "go to's" for any new water. Raul- No "double-fluke rig" ??????
  5. It's not the car, it's the driver
  6. Penn International 130st on a custom bent but 130lb class custom rod $1350 each......x4 But for the little fish, my most expensive would be the custom that Flechero built me. Next clos4est would be a $49 spidershaft with a Pflueger president. Although the big gear is necessary for Tuna you plan to sell, I cant bring myself to spend big $$ on a fish that just about any set up can handle.
  7. We've been taking pics from the beginning. This will be a tutorial. Hull is bare already.
  8. Thats a sweet triple, but especially this time of year where you are. Nice.
  9. Hey can I get a job with you for 1/2 a year, you know which one 8-) Will you make meatballs? :-?
  10. Oil and Tobacco would be last on my list,.....whatever I end up doing has to involve integrity. Perhaps "Alternative fuels" like some of the Hydrogen stuff coming out.... My dream job would be to own a ranch/lodge with about a 1000 acre mega-bass lake. 3 guides, marina, natural resources director for ranch nature tours, etc, 5 star food, no more than 6 guests at a time (won't be cheap). Open 1/2 the yr, the other 1/2 we fly in disabled/disadvantaged kids for stays of 1 week at a time. Tie it in with the marine biology dept at the state college and let them use the lake as a lab, in turn, providing free lake/fishery management. The whole place is a write off and a place where a lot of good can be done. Yea,.....I've daydreamed a bit too.........
  11. What a mook : All set...... He didn't have any of you personally blocked......he had EVERYONE blocked : ;D :
  12. Define "ramp" why cant you lift out of minivan, put 1/2 in water and then load gear? Where I launch, it's roadside and there is all chunk rock between road and water. I made a board with 4 small caster wheels that I lay across the rocks about 1/2 way down and slowly let the boat roll over the rocks to the water. Works great. I'll film it and pm you the link if needed There is a guy at our lake that has those wheels, had them for yrs on the same old 12' V. The only thing I don't like is that they are up in the way kinda, when they are folded up.
  13. Is that your most seductive pose hookem???? That's some funny stuff.
  14. Folks, Please show a warm welcome for WBT Pro Angler, Sammie Jo Denyes, known in the forum world as "AmericanGirl". I met Sammie Jo through Billy Raymonds BassFeed. Be sure to go check out some of the interviews with Sammie Jo and lots of others in the industry. Sammie Jo has been a reader at BassResource for a while but has decided to introduce herself and possibly answer some questions y'all may have regarding the WBT tournament trail or fishing at a pro level in general. Sammie Jo, who is well known as an outspoken and passionate supporter of all branches of the United States Military has formed the American Girl Army. The A.G. (or AmericanGirl) Army is comprised of the fans, friends, family, and supporters of her in her drive to be the best. 20. Yes (make sure it's larger than the one removed) or Use a tapered head bolt (1/2 in or less) with a nut and (preferably) a rubber or rubber backed washer
  21. Many of you have referred to my rebuild thread for ideas for your boat. In that thread, I explain all the materials used and you'll notice, that by using high end Interlux paint, I get a great finish but it costs about $225 to do a 12' boat. well, we are doing Dirks boat over, it's about 1/2 done and we are looking at other (cheaper) paint options. It looks like we will be going the Rust-oleum route this time, stay tuned for our paint review and rebuild tutorial.
  22. New waders, new rod, fat bass.......who's better than you sista???
