Mounting seats to tank type bench
Tyler- Rivets make holes. Pedestal plate mounts using a pin lock system make an even bigger hole There are a few things you can do. If you don't want to make holes, you can use a clamp on style like this http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_16127_200004009_200000000_200004000_200-4-9 If you don't mind holes but need the seats to be totally removable (No pedestal sticking up) then you can use this mount http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_948_200004009_200000000_200004000_200-4-9 If you don't mind holes, this is my highest suggested mount, it's what I use on my boat. This is the mount with the biggest footprint, (i.e. best weight distribution) Today, I will be finishing the mounting of these. I am re-doing them so they are bolted instead of screwed. This involves making a hole in the SIDE of the seat but it comes in handy for storage. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_94421_200004009_200000000_200004000_200-4-9 I'll take a few pics for you today.

ex-membering yourself...
I did something kind of like that i changed my myspace profile o spanish just for fun but now i have yet to find the place to go where you change it back so now all of my stuff that i see is spanish but to everyone else it is in english it kinda sux but it is funny also can you tell me again what that has to do with accidentally deleting your profile? :-? :-/ He's just saying people can make mistakes while in "profile edit" mode and not realize what they had done.

Fishing in wind
Wind, or drift anchors are a big plus for us in the light tin boats. They allow you to keep fishing "slow", when thats what you need to be doing.

real easy. try this 1st- flat hammer on one side and ball peen hammer on other side. Sometimes just re-hammering it can fix it. If not, drill out the bad rivets. From the bottom, insert a 3/4" stainless, tapered head bolt. Washer and nut on the inside and you're done. Some 3m 5200 adhesive on the threads will insure it won't back out or EVER leak again. (I had a 14 that needed 58 of these, lol. Heck, it was free.) If you have a friend that can weld aluminum, that works too, but make sure they know what they are doing, alum is tricky to weld for some.

for you to assume that they are giving everyone on this forum the finger for leaving is just plain weak. . Call it what you will, that's how we take it. If you have another reason why someone would delete as opposed to just fading away and not posting, I'd be curious to hear it.

Want Sponsors?
1. He was serious, JT is a writer for the Yamamoto magazine 2. You might want to check Squid's background before claiming to be twice the fisherman he is. Regardless, saying you are twice as good as someone else, is one sure way to never see a dime from a sponsor. They are not attracted to empty arrogance. 3. Your grammar/spelling will need to improve if you wish to attract sponsors.

Aluminum stripper
Catt, where do we get it and how much will we need for a 12' jon?
-
Aluminum stripper
I remember muddy had a thread about doing his boat over and there were some suggestions for a stripper. We are doing as 1236 alum jon that has that green primer/paint on it so nothing too strong is necessary. Preferably something that washes off with a quick water rinse or worse case,a solvent wash. Any help?

thats how to do it. Take a yellow crayon with you when you do it, circle leaking rivets. Assuming it is riveted?

Spawners?
If you have nothing to offer other than instigation, please limit yourself to "reading",........ or I'll do it for you. Your call
-
Spawners?
Tubes, lizards, spark plugs, cigarette butts, whatever you got. In my opinion, it's much more about boat positioning, presentation, dedication, knowing the behaviorisms of the spawn cycle and focus than "what" you are dropping in there. It's not your M.O. we are concerned with, but thanks for clarifying

Well, we'll be there, snow or shine, there is no "hope he still wants to go" with us It's looking good so let me get a head/boat count of who is on board for sat and sun and I'll give you a scream via PM.

Define "leaks" and I might have some suggestions. As for the porpoising issue,... Hydrofoil http://www.boatersoutlet.com/browseproducts/Atlantic---SST-Hydrofoil.html The yr is often the last 2 digits on the serial number a '58 7.5,....cool I love the old, old, engines that are hanging everywhere at BPS.

Can I please pick your brains!!!!!?????
Big loud baits, bright colors, cover water. Don't neglect newly flooded brush, etc I'd run a crank a jig and a spinnerbait (alongside the few prime plastics that never come off the boat) Lean towards the hard baits in the colder water(cranks,S/B's,traps,jigs) , and the softer baits in the warmer water (plastics, jigs). (Yes, I have jigs in both categories,....one reason they are so special and should be deployed often. )
