  1. Gotta know how to manipulate bosses and work schedules to be able to free up on a few hours notice. sense of humor, no doubt. Camera ability and someone willing to give some thought to the shot is a plus I prefer if our styles compliment each others as opposed to a copy cat. The goal in my boat is to be successful as a team. It's the anglers against the fish, not each other. PUNCTUALITY AND DEPENDABILITY. 3:15am is 3:15 am, by 3:30, I'm fishing alone. This highly affects the odds of a future invite. Need to be out there for the same reason as me, to enjoy the moment for all it has to offer. Catching is not mandatory for a successful trip although "skunking" is very uncommon.
  2. I think Dan is on course here. Reading the first posts, we can see it's not the cell phone. I would switch out the cable between the sub and the satellites. Next, I would look at the jacks, particularly, the "out" on the sub. (alcohol on a q-tip can often remedy a dirty jack). Does the sub crackle too?
  3. Great story, father/daughter team and the fish was released. PERFECT!!
  4. Striper is THE eating fish I only eat 3 or 4 different kinds of fish, striper is one of them. Excellent table fare. (light, thick, flakey filet's)
  5. Depends if they go for it or not I suppose. But even if they pay to replenish the trout (finally got my video to work), there are lots of other gaps that are going to be missing from the food chain. From freshwater clams and Catfish to biozymes and Bluegill. These are the things I'm talking about replacing, not just the bass and trout
  6. ok, I have an idea. Are you familiar with your local club scene? no, not the disco, the bass clubs, lol. It's not necessary but would help. If you contact your local president, you can ask to be put on their agenda to speak at an open meeting to request volunteers. I suggest you ask the town for permission to rally some anglers to restock it yourselves from other area resources. Everybody fill the live well with certain recommended species, give them a good bath in Aquarisol and let em rip. If you contact your local president, you can ask to be put on their agenda to speak at an open meeting to request volunteers. This may put a couple guys on your bass hole. If that would be the case, maybe you could contact Trout unlimited, but either way, you can show how the citizens can get it done. Just a suggestion.
  7. I'd like a NorthEastern 8 or a Californian 15. 3 more weeks and I get to cast again!!
  8. Sissy fish, sissy pic, what happened to your standards? ;D What do you mean by "clean"? Here, when we use the term, we are referring to sea lice. Aren't yours landlocked or are they brackish? Thanks for sharing
  9. Not sure if that is something that gets enabled/disabled, but Glenn will know. We still have the option when posting but not for PM's anymore.(for Glenn-fyi)
  10. So what do they do now? Sure it may have been mostly trout but if the stuff is killing everything right down to the shell fish upstream, that's got to effect the fish downstream. I'm curious to see (God willing your big fish survive) if they will have 10lbe heads and 5 lbr bodies. Do states have restocking plans for accidents like these?
  11. Last I heard, I think he just hooked up w/ a new chick. There is definitely a blank spot with his absence.
  12. Yup, surgery was a huge success for both the recipient and the donor.
  13. He's been around. He had recent surgery to give his sister a kidney and he kept us all up to date. I think his first priority after recovering was to get out and find some work. Hopefully, he succeeded and this has kept him busy. He and his son Jake are scheduled to come fish with me this spring.
  14. Was hoping to match the previous yr at 8.3 but ended up a little shy. 7.11 The cool thing is that we have yet to meet this fish in yrs past. She had a good chunk missing from her tail and a growth on her left gill plate that identifies her rather easily. I love meeting new girls
  15. Fluke, the honey hole has a max depth of 32 ft. One place, the wide open area of the lake (was the original farm pond before flooding). Would this stuff still apply?
  16. OOooooh,...cut off at the pass,lol....PM, Avid, he'll spoon with ya ;D Truth is, this is a question I am interested in also. I need to go find the ones that are staying deep after ice out.
  17. Then my advice would be to just never grow up! Unfortunately, where you are, you aren't given the choice. Kind words Sarge, thanks. I think it's safe to say I can include in my thanks, all the hero's who are not home right now. Thanks to all who are busy protecting our freedoms. Wishing you all a safe and speedy return to your families.
  18. A little late but I saw this during Christmas and didn't even think to look it up on utube. This one 's for Muddy ;D
  19. Rhode Island Striped Bass Record 70 lbs 55-1/2" Nov, 1984 Block Island J. Szabo (Block Island, RI)
  20. Very cool point about spawning in the trees!! Doesn't apply at my lake but certainly a great insight into the "spawn" equation!
  21. That's usually something simple like "disabling" a pop up blocker. Post your situation in "Everything else" and I'm sure you'll find the "fix"
  22. We don't judge people by their catches but by their integrity. (otherwise Muddy would have been run off a long time ago, he can't catch a cold! ;D ) But we love him anyway, see what I mean? (Muddy, I'm only playin' with ya,....I know you can catch a cold, lol ;D )
  23. Nope, can't figure out which rock he hid under, lol. Funny, I just searched his name again and for an "Outdoor Writer", the only writing I can find is on public forums, lol. Must not be much demand for $1/word writers these days.
  24. Y'all have an open invite to come fish in RI with me if you'd like. We do 4 shifts on the weekends. Out between 2-4am till 8 or 9 and then back again in the afternoon. Between the LBH team, we have quite a few boats and your choice of guys to fish with. From the site, we have myself, Tin2win, Matt 5.0. Dirk_Jig-lure, Stratosdadri. COME ON DOWN and be a part of our "color don't matter" campaign Filming starts the day of ice out. I get lots of days off during the week but they are random. You can always call and see if there is an empty seat. Pm for # if interested. Cigarlover is 1st though. We were supposed to get out this summer and it didn't happen. Craig, you ready? Spawn-May, I expect to see you bro. Come down for the night on a Fri and we'll hit it Sat morning
