  1. That's a matter of opinion, I've learned a few things off his new show. Burley- I don't think I'd let you in the boat to begin with ;D
  2. TNmom, Hang tight, I'm building you a short tutorial video today.
  3. if im taking someone fishing i dont take any money from them, i was gonna go either way so its no problem for me, sure some try to pay but i refuse alot of times they will bring some breakfast for us and get the coffee and im cool with that. I don't deal with this in freshwater but it was always an issue in the salt. I don't like to accept $$ from a guest either. If it is someone I fish with all the time, like Eric, sure, it's different. I paid for the boat (That he uses as much as me) so the least you could do is help with the gas. (for the record, Eric doesn't "help" with fuel, he buys it all, insists on it) There is a difference between people OFFERING to pay and people who AVOID it. Either way, I don't take the $$ but it reflects highly on the future of their invites.
  4. This section is here for A. Advice on sponsorships. B. Criticism of your resumes. We are the proof readers,...the critiques. If you post it, you are asking us to point out what is wrong. Thusly, someone who just pops in and reads without knowing this, may view it as harsh. It is,...but it is "requested" harshness. PS- Check your spell checker, it ain't workin'
  5. Same goes for wood!! I see a lot of "over-bracing", adding tons of needless weight. The right pieces, properly located,...get it done.
  6. Your comments are very appreciated, They also hit the nail on the head. We make a lot of effort to follow Glenn's mission statement and run a "different" kind of board. We are a family here. Sure, families have arguments and differences of opinion but in the end, when handled with respect,we find that we are still family. Next time someone asks you if you have any brothers or sisters, just say,.."Yup,....11,880 of them"
  7. "Oops,...look what I caught" lol Good luck with the new gear,...seems it works so far!!
  8. I hear you. Redline has a boat FULL of expensive swimbaits but I only threw a few. I hate the feeling of being hesitant about losing a bait. I did see him catch on the Wake jr though, the first time I got to see, in person, one of these big Cali baits work. Robert too I think,...scared the hell out of him when he got hit. we laughed for a bit over that one, lol. It went like this....."Oh Shyt,....I got one".... proceeded by some laughs of disbelief.
  9. Ray Scott's place I'd also like to try one of Billy D's secret Phosphate pits
  10. My fishing partner forwarded me the link and said "There is some good reading in the "articles" at this place." I had NEVER used a forum board previously. And here we are : 11,896 posts later, lol. I bet RW was in the same boat.
  11. Pistol Porn. That's a gang bang 8-)
  12. For the fine details and the latest info, I would PM Alpster. GPS'ing is his business.
  13. Fluke, I dated a girl who had thumbs like that, I think it was called "Boxers thumb" The top digit is like 1/2 the size of an ordinary (notice I didn't use the word "normal") one. Burley- My fishing partner Dirk can't either Michelle can't roll her R's My brother can't say sheriff" (Shewiff) but has no issues with any other words. I can't break 133 lbs Fluke can't break 10 lbs Avid can't take a picture We all have our "things" ;D
  14. Go to the forum FAQ's, I made 3 tutorials for posting pics.
  15. This issue can only be resolved by installing a patch, a patch Glenn has to wait for while the host builds it now that they know there is an issue. Glenn reports it and it is out of his hands. Let's remember that he does this ASIDE from his full time job and support will go much further than busting his chops that something, which is out of control,....is taking too long. Thanks for your patience :
  16. I met Wonder Woman..... 8-)
  17. I like that,...."Hey guys,...I'm registered at Lowes..." ;D
  18. Don't get me wrong, a baby 1 minus, Floating Rapala (retrieved), will work back there along with many other things (in all sorts of colors, hehehe) but the jig is very reliable on the hook up and easy to lip and unhook as opposed to something w/ double trebles and the Fluke gets the attention of not only the bass but the ravenous Pickerel that are very active at ice out also.
  19. Improved Clinch or Palomar. The clinch I can do without looking so that one is used often,...it's just a comfort level/speed thing. Jigs always get a palomar because they are easy to get back through the loop w/o much finagling and I know it's a better knot. Lazy? Sure, lol.
  20. Guys usually do the chick thing because it symbolizes your last chance to be that guy. Let's hope the wife to be doesn't think this is your last hoorah if you plan a fishing trip!!! I'm with you though, If I ever get married, the last thing I want is a typical bachelor party. The nudie clubs are sooooo not my scene. I don't have any suggestions but I'll roll it around and repost if I come up with something good. BTW- Congrats and good luck!!
  21. Great report Awesome job on the PB Admirable perseverance dealing with those temps Top notch foul weather gear way to go buddy!!!!! ;D
