  1. Congrats all you high liners. If you ever want to see how the other side lives , come east for a Low Budget adventure!!
  2. HE has seats around the 30 yard line. He's wearing a Red banana hammock and has been airbrushed Blue, can't miss him, TVO it for me ;D
  3. Exactly how we train to do it at UPS : ;D Low Budget Hookers- The whole story has been typed out a few times but in short, we get it done with value based products, and small boats. First origin was from a Striper tournament that we won for the 2nd yr in a row from a 16 ft jon boat. We were up against 25 ft center consoles on avg but the key was that the big fish were in the estuaries so while everyone in their big expensive boats went on a $200 I mean a 2 hr run to fish deep, we went around the corner, up the river and sat on a hole made by the current wash of a channel marker that happens to fill up with lots of fish. None over 25-27 lbs but 2 of those can win it sometimes. The craziest thing though is that the 2nd yr,our fish were caught on shad bodies. NO fancy finish, no hollow body tube, no $75 for 6 on ebay price tag, just a shad body with a paddle tail. All white, not even an eye painted on. Go figure...........Low Budget baby BaitMonkey friggin hates me.
  4. Happy Birthday Dustin!! A day late and a dollar short but Happy Birthday anyway!! (you can throw away the fake ID now!! ;D)
  5. BURLEY!!!! You really had a bunch of concerned man. VERY glad to see your ugly mug back again. Hope all is good with you. Happy New Year and welcome back buddy!!!!!!!! (Avid- very creative, I like )
  6. I've noticed that bass from the same water, taken on the same day can vary quite a bit. Some are full-bodied like the bass my wife is holding, yet the next bass from the same place may be all head with a tapering body. Though I've heard several different theories, I really don't know the answer for this variation. Roger So is this something that has you guys concerned or just a swing of mother nature's momentum?
  7. friends coming over for grande mud bugs. (Baked, stuffed Lobsters)
  8. well, I'm all about Low Budget, but as a result of being on that list, Raul, I know you have explained more than you're fair share of reels, lures, etc to folks who wanted to know. I would definitely take that list as a compliment.
  9. Ryan, how would you compare that to the pro lite finesse? I know you owned both.
  10. This is the very same,...basic common sense thinking that has formed who I am as a purchaser. It can be applied to "color", finishes" and so on also. Angler 1 has great luck on blue, no luck on red. Angler 2 can't catch on blue but kills em on red. Which do you buy? BLACK because it where you put it , when you put it there and what you make it do when it's there that are more important. Line is a little different though, it could have been put on wrong or could be a bad batch or was stored in sunlight, etc but still..... RW, you're coming around, you'll be "Low Budget" before you know it!! We're gonna have to get you a shirt
  11. Don't know where that came from, sorry you feel that way. For the record, my comment about resentment had nothing to do with you or your business. It was aimed at folks of the Loomis/croix posse who are so brand loyal, they aren't willing to look at new or innovative concepts. If that's you, so be it, otherwise, it was not a personal attack on you in any way. I really don't know why you think I would view you that way anyway, I've never given you or your name anything but utmost respect, so I thought.
  12. exactly my 2 suggestions Raul but I think he wants to keep it around $150-180 tops
  13. Exactly, but even then, with a reputation like David's, it defends itself. DG knows we'll always have his back if needed.
  14. You got it banana breath, ...btw, how'd I do this yr,hahaha
  15. Not taken as an attack, obviously, RW and I know each other better than that BUT,...if this is directed towards my comments, I never spent ALOT of time w/ high end stuff, just used a lot of different ones on different outings. I did, however, ONLY throw high end gear and a wide variety of it when I visited Redline's place. Now, granted, I am nowhere near as picky as 80% of the readers here but I still know what I like and my offerings are strictly my opinions based on my experiences. Carrot stick, great value but will never be a "Turkey Run" or "DG" rod Better? and for the record, like Flechero, not only do I not have a dog in the hunt, I don't even have a dog! ;D
  16. Your fish will be fine. My Oscar has made it 10 yrs and my audio will peel your teeth. I have a Carver system, old school "cube" pre amp, etc., could power a live band. Just don't play country music and your fish will be fine ;D
  17. 1. Those dogs are very cool looking IMO 2. I think they are barbed, poor guy. He may not have "gone back for more", this could have been a single "Roll around" with the wrong critter.
  18. Slo, that's what I originally put but I took out the "it" because it's a double entendre. It's a combination of "paying it forward" and just "moving forward".... in life, using fishing as a tool. Plus, Muddy is more about the "forward" than the "it"
  19. maybe your screen resolution?
  20. well, I didn't want to use "Muddy's Men" because, well........, I'M not gonna be the one to give that kind of ammo to Long Mike and Avid,...noooooway,lol ;D : Either way, a name is in order How about "Fishing Forward"
  21. I need to lose 20 lbs. ;D I was fortunate to have an in length conversation with Muddy man one night where he explained the 12 steps of the 12 step program. Although not an alcoholic or addict, there are some very good tools there that can help bring awareness to your faults and even better, guidelines on how to address them. I plan to try and initiate some of those steps in my day to day dealings with others and myself. I'd love to help with that. Although getting to meet you was indeed a treat, we never did fish together. February, no excuses
  22. Muddy- Next time your "side work" calls for a spinning set up, I'd like to donate a Penn power graph. I think it's a good fit because guys in your area also have the option to fish salt water and this reel handles both nicely. I would be honored if you could keep me in mind, next time duty calls. Thanks
