  1. We already do that. Those are called "members videos" which are made every 1000 members. We have made 2 so far, the 5000 mark and 6000 mark. 7000 is just around the corner, get your pics/videos ready!!! Members video I Members video II
  2. Came up a little short on footage, will be waiting to see if we can add some tomorrow, if not, I'll chop the song off and post it anyway.
  3. Depends on the focus setting. If on automatic (self-focus), it's very fast. Faster than the original s5200 I had. Also, with a high speed card, your recovery time before next shot is amazingly quick. Comparable to others with a regular card.
  4. Anyone got any cool projects planned for the cold season? I can't begin to tell you how much I miss having a garage!!!!! Not to mention the extra $ from audio projects, etc. Killing me!! So what's your plan?
  5. It must be amazing there, like in an ant colony, nonstop production. I know alot of the people involved build for a living, it must be cool for them to see somthing go together, all the different stages, sooooo fast. They see this exact same thing every day for a living but not at this breakneck speed with such logistical intensity. Must be cool. Definately let us know when this one airs although I doubt I'll miss one anyway. This show made my father cry. I don't know if you guys get how deep that statement goes. My dad is a hardened, working class Portuguese man,...they don't cry. My sisters wedding and watching my CAST video were the only other times I've seen this. This show is just so real, that's what happens.. Keep up the good work everyone!!!!! Time is getting close!!!! MOVE THAT BUS!!!!!!
  6. - I let myself down with the swimbaits. Couldn't give them the attention they need to be winners. Just couldn't do it. -Found a new hiding spot for big fish in my lake, after 20+ yrs fishing it. Thought I knew them all. Think again, lol. -Being afflicted with Episodic Cluster Headache (ECH) can also get you ALOT of time on the water, lol. -Do not reply to religious posts -Getting kids fishing is about as rewarding as it gets -2 trolling motors are better than 1. -I learned that Kistler Heliums FLOAT!!!! Magneiums,....don't -I am slowly learning how to make better videos. (somthing I can use for family outtings, parties, vacations, etc) -Not all Cali Hawg Hunters are ego-filled know-it-alls. Quite the opposite (FC) - Cyprus has some excellent citizens and very short FAT bass. -I absolutely detest political commercials -Avid can put up with alot of pain and still stay driven by his passion. Great example for others. -Doghouse got lucky. -Sometimes, when you know you are in a place they should be using, and they aren't there or biting, you should trust yourself and stay put, they'll come. I always knew this but was able to "apply" it this year. Oppsoite of swimbaits. I know they work but didn't apply what I know. -I learned what Lake Fork was like. -I learned that I have alot to learn
  7. Very, very, very cool pic FC. My shot was lucky. I had the camera set so when you pull the trigger, it keeps shooting till you let go. I had it set like this because I was trying to get pics of an Osprey diving for breakfast. Eric said "behind you, behind you" and along came big blue. I pulled the trigger and out of maybe 12-15 frames, this was the only one worth anything. Still worth it, I love a good pic.
  8. I use a fujifilm s5600. I absolutely love it, it's actually my second 1. (orig model was a s5200) It's a digi camera (6mp) and has a "video" option. With a 1 gig card ($50) you can capture alot of video! I like the dual purposeness. Stills and video. I can't reccommend this camera enough, 2 reasons mainly. Quality Easy to use (menus, settings, etc) It's got an inexpensive price point but after rechargable Batt's, bigger card, etc, you are looking around $400-$500. If you use the camera as much as I do, it is an incredible value. I don't leave the house without it, literally.
  9. Phil, It has gone south for a winter tour, that's all I'm saying.
  10. winter- Grey Flannel Summer- Paul Sebastian
  11. Couple things Boone. Do a quick spell check, couple errors. Also, Those plastics aren't made in Lubbock they are distributed from Lubbock. You stated you've been developing speaking skills. Explain exactly what you've done.. "In my heart I had a desire to compete in a tournament. But no one wanted to fish with a 15 year old guy. I finally persuaded a man to let me fish with him in a small tournament. In that tournament I realized this was the thing for which I was created: to fish. I ended up catching a 4 1/4 pounder that won second place big bass. I lost a three pounder, and my partner lost a keeper that would have put us in the money." They don't want to hear that, they just wants stats. "I am a strong Christian, and the people around me have helped me develop a strong work ethic. I believe this is a gift God has given me, and I want to use it to the absolute best of my abilities." Big no no Never bring politics or religion into your resume unless applying to a specific political or religious organization. Just discuss your work ethic and use examples. just a couple things to help you out. Pm me when you fix that up and I'll remove this post so it's all nice and new again. Should you choose to leave it as is, that's fine too, these are just suggestions. Just let me know and I'll remove this part.
  12. Reeeel nice fish this time of year especially. Sweet!
  13. Did I read that right? Buzz and Craig on board??
  14. A TADPOLE,..LOL....don't ask,....
  15. Swing for the fence Tipp!! Good Luck.
  16. Funny thing. I went to work today and things are haywire. Lots of xtra guys as Xmas training is in full force with lots of temporary help on board. Anyway, I was talking with my buddy Nathan , who you will recognize from previous outtings, and there was the possibility of 2 guys getting a 1/2 day so I asked if he would be willing to do it with me and we'll hit the lake later. 67 degrees and sunny,...again. Surely, the last day like this for the season, 30's predicted this weekend. Well, it seems Nathan had just come and signed up here the other day! He had spent the other night watching some of the recent videos and talking him into some fall fishing,....wasn't too hard, lol. Well we did pretty well, 10 fish, a 4lb 9oz for me and a 4lb 11oz for Nathan. I did, however, put the call in to Redtail and also to NBoucher, both returned my calls later, bummed that the timing hadn't worked. also, Dirk, if you're reading, Nathan got the hook back from that biggee that you broke off last week over in the hully gully. Hook is out, bass is well. So stay tuned, New member intro video coming when I get a quick shot of time. The music is Nates choice on this one
  17. I just feel like such a loser being there. Like people will associate me w/ someone who has to "pay" to see a boobie. Not. :-/
  18. well FC, I think it's easy enough to say that being a good person and superstitions don't really relate. what you are talking about is more like Karma. Somthing I strongly believe in and probably the main reason I also do trash detail. Plus, I don't like trash at my lake, lol. Going out of your way to increase someones experience is just being a good person, evidently it pays well. I wouldn't mind getting paid w/ DD's. Everyone knows my main superstition, the TUNA CHARM. (Please pass the mojo) Also, if we see alot of animal life on the way to the lake, the fish are often active. If we don't even see so much as a squirrel,...turn around and go home, lol. Seems the wildlife on the way to the lake shows whether the wildlife is "active" or not. Fish, being wildlife, apply. Not a superstition, just somthing we noticed a yr or 2 ago and have been paying attention to. Like a crystal friggin ball. lol The day we hit a 7.2 and a 6.9 a few weeks ago, we has seen a fisher cat with a squirrel in it's mouth crossing the road, a herd of deer and 2 raccoons fighting (early morning no less)(nocturnal animal). All on the way to the lake. Are we crazy?
  19. Was funny because they kept making jokes and dragged it out to commercial. Oprah gives away the $ in a debit card. You have to then ,in turn, give the money to someone else,..BUT,...she also gives you a serious camcorder to record the deed with which you get to keep so there were jokes about "not sure if they'll let you film it,.....where do you swipe the card,lol....etc etc KU- actually, it was just a goof, those places skeeve me out. I'm not even comfortable doing the bachelor party scene there.
  20. Bunch of that stuff here,....I like! Kudos. But let's not forget the first part of Muddy's statement. "I gave away all but 1 spinning...." It's everywhere,....and spreading. And RW, you're one to talk as I look contently at my Tech AV!!! Southern gents rock!
  21. On "The Daily Buzz", they asked us to send in suggestions as to what would you do with the money if you were one of the people Oprah gave a $1000 to. I sent in a reply saying " I would break it into 1000 $1 bills and spread it evenly amongst the struggling dancers in my state." They made like a 2 minute joke about it,lol. Took me by surprise, I send comments in often while I'm getting ready for work and it was cool to hear them announce, "Russ from Providence wrote....." ;D
