2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
The shirt idea is great in priciple if this were a site that made money but seeing how much time, energy and MONEY it already costs him to keep this up and running, another $100 out of his pocket is too much. I suggest WE all bring GLENN a shirt from your homestate or fishing team or whatever.

TURTLES
Thank you! Finally! An ethical bone in the crowd. I just noticed on the side of our lake where we put the boat in, a huge dropping of some kind. Was confused as to the size and what may have left it. A week later, after some sun and a brief rain, I pulled up and noticed it was definately snapper poop. The scat was made of of total craw shells. Oranged now by the sun, it was clearly evident. We have huge snappers in our lake. Some are the size of sewer caps! Just for the record, our lake has what I would evaluate as the best fish population in RI. DON"T KILL ANIMALS JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE IGNORANT OF A BALANCED ECOSYSTEM!!!! > > > >

Lake Fork Questions
Is RW not allowed to also ask for info too?? I don't get it. ( troutfisher, you never ask for "more" info?? I don't understand the point you are trying to make with your .02. ) I think what Keith meant was that he would probably give RW different info knowing his level and style better than he knows dryheats. The lake is huge, like a city. The entire thing isn't covered with wood but it's pretty close. There are plenty of places to fish that aren't wood related. There are brideges, holes, old holding tanks, creek channels, etc. The place really has it all from areas with thick mat to open water. As for working the outside of the wood, if there is a distinct line of trees that make a "border", chances are those trees are hardwoods and on the edge of a creek channel. Just an example. - Seemed everyone there threw somthing red or watermelon w red flake. Also, the dam can be productive according to Matt and Willy. It's Willies "go to" when nothing else is working. Big sanbar type of point in front of it and very deep water nearby. We fished it for about 1/2 hr but no luck.

Strippers are so cool !
we have used circles for a few yrs when Tuna fishing. Of course, there is no "hookset" when fishing for these fish anyway. We jig up live Whitting,Herring, Hake, etc. The smaller the better. Our 3 tuna that broke the 1000lb mark were all caught on Whitting less than 8 inches long. Go figure. These don't weigh 1-2 lbs though. We just rig them in one nostril and out the other. Kills me every time I look at the hooks. 6/0. On a 1000 lb fish ( of course the shank on these gammies is LITTLE thicker, lol.) I think the striper is the most decieving fish, size wise. The one below, I could have sworn was about 8-10 lbs. Turned out to be a hair under 15. This one was taken on a fly we named "***** Whiskers" ,lol. II'm starting to miss the salt now.....

Strippers are so cool !
Cali stripers sure are clean and purdy!! Nice fishies Chris. I feel bad, I see appx 25-30 lbs (Head on, gutted) of meat that I could sell for between $3-$5/lb. Stripers and tuna were never sport for me. Wire line and 9'r rigs at 50-60 ft, not my style, but sure put cash in the pocket. Is that water brackish? Have you ever fished live bait for that big girl?

You guys/girls should pick 1 day and have a "couples tourny". If we dress up Matt_fly to be Miss_Fly, can we play too?

Caught this oscar today
There are lots of cichlids out there but Oscars are not native. These are fish released by people who didn't want them as pets and just don't know any better than to introduce a new specie to their water. Scott000- That's an Oscar but you are thinking of the "red tiger oscar" like mine. That is only 1 of the many different types though.

1964, 12' Jon Boat restoration
3 ribs. The hole is for storage in bow seat. It's awesome, I don't even take a tackle box anymore. In there I fit,... 4 plano boxes, pliers, a bag of plastics, a small plano terminal tackle case, scents, extra spools of line, a scale, bug spray, and drift anchor.

How Did You Select Your Nickname on This Site?
Was the original name of our fishing team. Salt water. We were always out there in the cheapest, smallest boat but usually did pretty well. We gained respect as the guys in the tin boat that seem to win alot. The name just fit. And now, it also fits my personality when you look at my views on gear and tackle. The name was originally spelled with an "E" on Low. We used a Lowe modified "v" back in the day.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
Trees and stumps. LOTS of 'em! There really is no town, the Lake is out in the middle of farm country. There are local bait stores, diners, hotels, etc but no town so to say.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
If you guys are really serious, I'll have the boys keep all the undersize lobsters for a week or so before we go and ship them ahead. You've NEVER seen a striper take somthing so fast as when you're using illegal bottom spiders! We've had plenty of Stripers under 15 lbs suck 'em up so........A 15 lb Largie might think it found the mother load crayfish! I'm joking. I mean, I'm not, but I am. Lane, great to have you folks on board!! Is that new place the one they were building last March out on the point near Williams Creek?
