  1. This is the last thread of yours that we will move. I asked nicely before but you refuse to post in the proper section, we don't have time for that. From now on they will be deleted.
  2. To me Al? I didn't get anything. To narrow it down, I would get the "darkest" one he has as you'll be using mostly on dark days......or get the trout one and color it black, lol.
  3. Whoa, whoa, noone is attacking him here and noone has called his rod a joke,...other than himself in the title of HIS thread. He is looking for an honest education here and he's getting some thoughtful replies. Give us a budget and we can guide you better bud
  4. Psssst Flech,.............................I think you're pregnant dude..... Way to go Cricket, all you can do is show up and try!!
  5. Lots of info, thanks Cart!
  6. 9", color is irrelevant, whatever he has. Go see Bill in Seekonk, he has them in stock. So far, I've caught on Red, red with black scribble onit, black and wood, both pine, dirty pine and black spray painted top of pine. Seriously, color doesn't matter, next yr, you'll see and hear why
  7. Actually that number means that for every revolution of the reel crank the spool inside rotates 3.2 times. When you see numbers like that on baitcasters, like 6.1:1, it means for every revolution of the crank the spool on it rotates 6.1 times. Some reels will tell you how many inches of line this draws in each time as well. I have one that's 6.4:1 and it draws in 28 inches of line everytime I crank the handle once. Make sense now?? So, in laymans terms, a 7.1:1 will bring the bait in alot quicker than a 3.2:1 There are different ratios for different applications. Like, there is a technique called "Burning a spinnerbait", which means reeling it in as fast as you can, for this many will buy a fast retrieve set up (7.2:1) It only applies when you have multiple rod/reel set ups, each dedicated to doing it's own thing. For you, you sound like you would benefit from going to the next level with your gear. You can get in the game cheap, what you are looking for is a spinning combo. 6' or 6-6 Med or Medhvy The reel should have a ratio in the 5.0-6-5:1 range (ratio not a big deal) Look for something that handles line from 6-17 lbs or in that range
  8. Sweet! My colors too!! Now you need a matching LBH shirt to go with it ;D
  9. I think the hard baits are all the same color, you are looking at the sift baits (assuming you are checking Matts site) in which case, flip a coin, the bass don't have a gender preference.
  10. An I missing the boat here? Wondering if certain product lines just don't move on ebay like,.....clothing. I am coming out w/ a line of wake baits that I think could do fine there but was wondering about my apparel too. What is the cost? How much traffic is needed to cost justify? Should I wait till the stuff is out in the public and has some chatter going on or should I open a store asap and get it "ready" for a launch? (or not bother at all) Thanks in advance
  11. Bittersweet for the Browns I bet. At least he's not free anymore, that was infuriating,....seeing him out golfing on the news every 6 months or so..... >
  12. Excellent, excellent review. Fantastic choice of reviewers Matt, Paul speaks to us like we need to hear it. Student to student. One question, any negatives? (Feedback for Matt) EXCELLENT
  13. I'd like to start a quality thread on this. If some of our swimbaiters that have hundreds, if not thousands of hours experience with this stuff could give their opinions here, I think it would be a VERY VALUABLE tool for us to refer newer swimbaiters to. Again,...no offense to anyone but I'm looking for input from guys like Fourbizz, FishChris, MattLures, Randall, Bassectomy, etc, guys with an exceptional amount of on water experience in the swimbait realm. I don't have their experience by any means, but just to get the topic rolling, let me throw out my experience. I fish my own wake baits, very similar to a slammer, they push a bit more water but, very similar. I use a 7'11" H Crucial, and a Revo stx w/17 lb mono. This set up works for me but because I have limited time with it (1 season) I'd like to know what you guys think I could do to improve my swimbaiting experience. I don't like casting w a round body, I'm just set in my salt water ways, a round body, to me, is not for "casting" A mind set, I know, but for example, how much further could I expect to cast w/ a wide spool, round body reel? Overall, what would you change and why? (the rod stays, a karma thing, it was a gift. The Revo was too but I can use that for a gazillion applications)
  14. If they are for an ipod, I have no clue, I'm looking for a good set myself. If you want the full size set, I HIGHLY recommend the Sony1 Studio set. Very affordable for what you get ($35?) Studio ear swivels let you listen w/ just one ear for referencing also. They also SOUND GREAT!!
  15. You're both wrong,....those are all males, the females are out shopping,....fall sales and all... :
  16. Some of the newer folks may not know it but if you click on "Meet the stasff", there is a bio in there about Ghoti. Gary does alot here to help keep this place safe.
  17. This is the only side effect my dad has, and he knows it. I think the doctor even put him on another medication to help that. medications to help with the effects of your medication,....welcome to American health care, lol
  18. oh, 1 side effect I forgot to mention,.....don't cross anyone on Chantix,lol,...holy cow, it makes you very irritable. I tried making nachos the other night,...burned them. Made another plate,...burned them. Plate turned into a projectile, lol. I did not eat. so, if you go on this drug, explain this side effect to your friends and family first, stress that it will be VERY noticeable. I am trying to stay conscious about it now, making sure to tell myself,...it's not your boss,...it's the drug,....swinging at him will only get you fired,...lol
  19. ok, here's the scoop The side effects of the drug (for me) do not exist. zero nasuea, zero dreams. I have been stringent on taking it with a meal. I am still smoking but nowhere near as much. I was a bit unclear about what to expect with the drug. I was under the impression that cigs would become unappealling and taste different. Nope. The drug does not quit for you. It surpresses the urge, quite a bit, but the habitual part, etc, still needs to be tackled by you. Monday, I am trying to go cold turkey. The good thing about the drug is that if cold turkey doesnt work, you don't give up, all is not lost,...it's a process, like the commercial says, it's for the tortoise, not the hare. So,...tough going but I'm not giving up. Thanks for the support everyone
  20. This is why I suggested a chat with beamer. I know here, there are no jobs in this field, if anything, every yr, DNR has more and more budget cuts, less resources, including personell.
  21. This is who I would talk to if it were me.
  22. Lots of water. Minimum of 200 acres, sit in the middle of it and cast alot, you'll feel better.
  23. Seen it in action and this system works like a charm. Even skinny little mohawked folks can launch the boat by themselves Too smart for that, that's why I bring guys like you!! ;D Rose- for the rivets, put the boat on the trailer, or on saw horses,...dry. Place hose insdide and watch underneath. Have a marking crayon ready, circle the leakers Replace leakers with a tapered head bolt from the bottom, washer and nut inside, 3m 5200 adhesive/sealant on the threads. Works like a charm. The bedliner on mine didn't hold up. was prepped properly.
