Oh yeah !!

Thank you. I feel very foolish, but the problem was I didn't put one of the spark plug wires back on. Foolish AND senile maybe!!

I put 2 new spark plugs in my outboard, and now the top speed is about 1/2 of what it was. The gap is set correctly, and it's a 1990 Johnson. Does this make any sense? It's starting fine and idling fine. It's the same new gas I used 3 days before. Thanks for any advice.

The motor is a 1992, and I changed the lube 2 seasons ago. I tried last fall also, and couldn't loosen the screws. So you put the impact driver with bit on the screw and hit it with a hammer? Is this very risky to the lower unit? Thanks.

I cannot loosen the 2 screws to change my gear lube. They just won't budge. It's a 25 HP Johnson. Any ideas? I'm trying to avoid taking it in to the shop. Thanks.

Thanks. The battery box that Minn Kota and others make that allow the wires to hook up on the outside, and also has a lighter plug and circuit breaker.

I intend to fish thru October and I had a question about my battery. If the temp. gets below freezing, will it ruin my battery? My boat sits outside, and I use one of those battery control boxes, so it's a PITA to unhook everything each time. Thanks.

Here in WI. we have the opposite problem. A few of the lakes I regularly fish, the water levels are so low I can't launch my boat.

Today I noticed when I was squeezing my primer bulb, a little gas squirted out thru a small cut, right next to the clamp. Are all primer bulbs the same? Can I just buy one, cut the old one off, and put the new one on with new clamps? Thanks.
