  1. Thanks LBH! You are now on my list of favorite hookers! LBH Sharonnda Candy Lexie Trixxxy Cinnamon
  2. Thanks Cuju but Walmart doesn't have them in my size. > LBH, if you could look it up and give me the item number I'd be greatful! The hull is a V hull but very shallow.
  3. Anyone know where I can get a drawstring type boat cover for a 12' boat? BPS and Cabelas don't have them for boats that small. :-[
  4. I feel for you tick, I HATE title hassels. The fact that one tiny piece of paper can ruin your plans totally sucks. I just bought a mail order boat trailer for my 12ft aluminum. To get it registered here in CA I need a receipt (to show I paid taxes) and a signed M.C.O. (Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin). The MCO did not come with the trailer. >
  5. Renegade worms smell like grape jelly. That crap they put on Tiki Stix makes me want to heave. It's a good thing the fish in my arear don't like 'em either. I HATE the way the smell.
  6. I've also heard of "Warmouth" bass. Suppose that is the same as mean mouth? Once while striper fishing I caught what I think was a rock bass. It had a bass body in shape but was very light colored, no horizonatal line or spots. It had pronounced red eyes. Kind of freaky.
  7. Lake Dixon in San Diego. "Dixon has proven to be an incubator for big bass as proven by local fishing celebrity Mike Long who caught a 20 lb. 12 oz. bass during April of 2001. Before this huge fish there were 5 other bass over 16 lbs. caught during spring 2001, 2 of which were over 17 lbs. This is not to mention many other 'teen' sized bass from previous years. Despite the sheer numbers of large bass, Dixon has kept a low-profile on its bass fishery as San Diego has at least 6 other lakes that are better known for their bass fishing. Dixon is better known for it's winter trout fishing and summer nighttime catfishing which can both be phenomenal at times"
  8. Those wickedtubes look great! I wish this stuff was available locally. It seems like I can only get the usual generic crap at Wal-Mart. We have a Fisherman's Warehouse out here in Rocklin CA, but they don't even carry Fat Ikas. > Someone should open a bait shop with good hard to find products. :
  9. I'll definately let you know when I haul in the 15 pounder!
  10. I just bought a Panther Martin Superior Frog and haven't used it yet. Anyone have any experience with it?
  11. Thanks all. I'll have to closely inspect my pork (ahem) when I get home tonight. I didn't see a pre-punched hole, I'll have to look closer.
  12. My only problem with plastic is they fall off if I'm jigging weeds or rough structure. I've always wanted to try real pork. I'm deterimined to make it work.
  13. When jig fishing I usually use plastic FLW trailers. Last weekend I bought some Uncle Josh's and decided to give them a try. Is it just me or are these incredibly difficult to pierce with the hook? Do I need to drill a pilot hole or bring a hammer next time? What do you guys do? + = ???
  14. My fishing buddy and I used to own a small bass boat. One hot summer day when the biggin's weren't biting we decided to explore an unknown part of the lake. We noticed how much higher the lake was after coming across a rope swing hanging from a tree about 50 yards from the shore. I was driving the boat and he was in front navigating. When we pulled up to the swing he instinctively grabbed it. As soon as he latched on to the rope I floored it and left him hanging there. I jetted out and fished afor about 10 minutes...Good times...sniff..sniff On another one of our outtings we managed to drop a running outboard (7.5 Johnson)into the lake. Thank God it was tied to a cleat! We pulled it up, re-clamped it down and she started right up. I still have the motor in my garage and fire it up every weekend! The very first boat trip we took together was right after we bought it. We drove directly to the nearest gas station, filled up the 5 gallon tank, dropped the boat in the water and cruised to the middle of the lake. That's where she died. We had never heard of "2 stroke oil" After paddling back to shore we went home and through the magic of "Marvel Mystery Oil" had her up and running again. We learned everything the hard way.
  15. You're right Future, even better idea!
  16. Didn't someone a while back mention that their girlfriend put together a detailed Excel spreadsheet that worked well? That's a great idea.
  17. First off, I'm in California and the summer heat is running its usual course. I've thought of doing the same thing you guys are talking about only with carp. I can't count how many times I've been pounding the shores looking for bass when a GIANT carp slowly rolls along the water's edge mouthing everything within its reach.
  18. I always share. A lot of times people ask me what I'm using. I'll show them, give them a few and point out where and how they should be used/rigged, etc. I do it because it makes me feel good. Why not spread the fun? Everytime I've helped out another fisherman they've always been grateful.
  19. Red/black, blue/black, brown/black at Folsom lake out here in CA. I've landed more than a few bass with 2 bright red claws poking out from the back of their throats. That always fascinates me. : I guess I'm wierd like that.
  20. I saw a special on Peacock Bass fishing a little while ago. It was with a native guide on what looked like the dirtiest water I'd ever seen. The water looked like ink. They mostly threw huge torpedo baits. It was literally like watching a torpedo hit a sub at full speed. NICE! One thing I thought was kind of funny was after he released one of his bass he stuck his hand in the water to show the camera how murky it was. The guide snapped, "uh, I wouldn't do that if I were you". That boy yanked his hand back so fast I think he broke his watch. Funny stuff...
  21. I've tried both. No difference in my opinion.
  22. 5/8 Assault King, Black with red, tipped with an all black brush hog. Big bait? You bet, but it gets the job done!
  23. Fantastic tip boiler_animal! I'll try that tonight. Thanks. Backlashes don't happen to me very often but when they do it always seems to be at the most inopportune moment.
  24. I do. I'll fish them with a pegged 1/8 oz. bullet weight. It allows me to fish it fast and the Senko still 'swims' like a bait fish. Give it a try.
  25. Wow. Great prices. I'll have to check that out. thanks!
