  1. usually four but sometimes seven days a week. it all depends on how much homework I have. No matter what though i always fish for two days a week on the weekend.
  2. thanks, i'll try this near the remains of the old tree this afternoon.
  3. yesterday i was fishing my secret spot with a jig and nose hooked ragetail chunk. the potomac flows into this spot so fish from the potomac can get in but there is no way for fish to get back into the potomac. right when i got down to the spot, i was about to fish the mouth of a tiny drainage creek when i saw something stirring up water, i thought it was a big bass and was about to cast but then i noticed it was a huge snake with an american eel hanging out of it's mouth. in that same spot i saw another snake and i walked around a little and saw a couple more snakes which i belive were feeding off eels. this is the first time I have seen an eel or snake in this spot. I wonder why this is happening now, I thought eels spawned in early spring then headed to the sargasso sea. I caught one bass on the jig.
  4. i tried that yesterday with a jig and ragetail chunk. I got one that was about two pounds. I do know of a spot where a tree fell and then it was cleaned out. About a week ago i used a carolina rig there and felt my weight going over all of these branches left on the bottom.
  5. I know this sounds stupid but have any of you guys ever fished "deep structure" in shallow canals with no weeds that are about six feet deep?
  6. :o those are some big bass
  7. try a little jighead. I have'nt tryed them but since you can rig the bigger ones on jigheads it's worth a try.
  8. with keel weighted hooks they make more commotion and with a weightless hook they make less commotion. Good luck with the shads they're great, over the weekend I was using a ragetail shad and had a nice one just barely slurp my shad in. I let him take the bait, felt pressure, set the hook and my hand slipped becasue it had been raining earlier :'(
  9. what about Raul's tacklebox?
  10. nice bass. what did you catch it on? Ragetail anaconda? :-?
  11. peacocks fight hard especiallly when they flare their feathers
  12. I gotta get some lobsters soon. i plan on using the craws on a jig tomorrow.
  13. cool, though i wish they had rc 1.5s :'(
  14. I think the chunks use a more durable plastic. the craws are also really durable but the chunks have always stayed in one piece until i lost my jig.
  15. for me 17 pound test is light line 8-) I love flippin and pitchin!
  16. A pond where women take off their clothes. J/K Strip pond is into what an old quarry becomes after it 's been abandoned, it usually gets filled with rain or spring water over the years and becomes a pond.
  17. Don't we all. we all love em
  18. how did the 10 pounders die? was it from stress or people keeping them?
  19. it's water temperature and when the sun rises and sets.
  20. I have found a bluff bank on the potomac river where the water is about seven feet deep. i was wondering wether i should use a football jig and ragetail chunk or a strike king series six crankbait in sexy shad. the water is stained and i am trying to catch largemouth. the bottom is rocky. these are the two lures i would like to choose from. i know others might work better but i want to try these.
  21. i wonder how winter snakehead fishing will be? :-?
  22. the chunks are great. they give that jig a great action. the action makes me think of a bat flying through the air
