  1. sorry about your box! i slide on a 1/2-3/4 oz lead egg sinker and tie a swivel to the end. you can add a bead between swivel and lead for a little noise and knot protection. attach a leader to the other end of the swivel with your hook and bait. i usually use a 2 or 3 foot leader. i do not peg my c-rigs.
  2. check out the 3" crazy leg chigger craw for a smaller bait with alot of action. i always get pumpkin, watermelon and black before other colors on plastics.
  3. those guards are for tossing huge lead weights from the surf. i agree with above, youre holding it wrong. the weight of the lure should be keeping the line on your finger tip throughout the entire cast. right on the exposed area of your last pic.
  4. tienes huevos?
  5. have you fished the bsr852 glx? if so, how would you compare the action and tip stiffness? thanks
  6. i use palomar. make a long tag end and pass it through the top of the hook 'eye' after youve tied the hook. attach the sinker to the tag end.
  7. i usually peg tight to move the bait over sunken branches etc... get some of these and you can adjust the distance the weight can slide on the fly. http://www.***.com/Eagle_Claw_Bobber_Rubber_Stops/descpage-ECBOBRB.html
  8. im not sure i understand why youre asking. what does my comparing the xpeditor to insurance have to do with other rod companies? to humor you: better warranty/no hassle service? st. croix. quality? close enough. are you upset because people are upset about the change? youre funny.
  9. i have the LE version and im not sure if the action and tip stiffness is the same but i assume it is so... i think it will be great for all the above. i like a stiffer tip for t-rig but it will be fine as long as youre not using thick hooks or huge plastic. give invisx 6 or 8 a try with kvd line and lure conditioner.
  10. plan? zero. how many times do you plan on getting in a car accident? ive used expeditor twice and wrecked once.
  11. mountain biking hiking snowboarding kayaking reef keeping hold em'
  12. im very happy with my st croix 2 piece mojo surf rod and the shimano spheros.
  13. Big-O/Nate, i fish the 1/4oz bitsy bug with a baby rage craw (bottom nub torn off) all the time. is that jig trailer you posted smaller than that? different action? tell SK we need a 3/16oz bitsy bug with a bigger hook!
  14. keep in mind that the rod action, tip stiffness and type of bait being thrown also affects distance. for example, i can toss a 1/4oz crankbait alot further on my 6'6" st croix fast action rod than i can on my 7'1" loomis XF.
  15. everyone relax, its not a full mount.
  16. any bait where the movement is controlled with the rod i use a 7:1. i do not like a 7:1 ratio for swimbaits, large cranks or large spinnerbaits.
  17. thats what i'm asking here. clearly nobody likes the way the boots look but i also don't care. for the record, i think theyre d**n sexy
  18. id go with a 12' SOT having a rudder is nice (and i highly recommend it) but not necessary. i have a native manta ray 12' and i stay pretty dry by keeping the scuppers by my knees closed. you will get a little wet from the paddles but after paddleing for a while this will be minimal. ive heard good things about: wilderness systems - tarpon ocean kayaks
  19. good stuff. did you put a rock in that catfish's gut?
  20. can i wear a cup? any weapons? for 200k id have to take the challenge. i dont have to win, right? my opening technique would probably be kicks to the face.
  21. my dominant hand holds the rod. right handed with lefty baitcast reel.
  22. thats basically what i do. go with a spinning rod with a shimano stradic CI4 2500.
  23. lead is sooooooo 2009
  24. kid was a loud mouth, gramps and the old lady were at fault. all three broke even and we made out with the entertainment.
