Temple Fork Loomis
i wouldnt hesitate to get one if i was shopping that price range as long as theyre loomis style MBR fast. i think the colored handles are a bit ugly but it would be useful if you had 10 of them on the boat. and you owned a boat. if they compare to $150+ rods, i could live with it. that heavy might be a decent small swimbait rod if its not too fast...

G. Loomis GL3 MBR843C rod information needed.
you already have 2 mh rods so i wouldnt get it. if you did not and it was a good deal id definately snag it. anybody know how these compare to avids?

Finesse Bass Fishing.....????
i dont think finesse fishing is limited to small baits. i think its more of the way you present your bait. if your power fishing tactics are working you dont need to finesse fish. its just another tool in the box.

Spinning Reel

im addicted to bass resorce
BEWARE i used to fish $90 falcons, fenwicks, st.croix and was cool with saharas and symetres. never thought i wanted more. i thought they were great compared to my old $80 combos i used in high school. that was until i found this forum and bought my first st croix avid. that changed everything. now i own 6 GLXs and 2 LEs and eat leftovers on the regular.

What a week, I really hope you can not top this.
he is young, hopefully he will snap out of it. my brother was stealing from my dad, running around with guns, smoking meth. around the age of 25 he started maturing, had a baby and his life changed around. i saw my dad go through hell, and i did not blame him one bit when he kicked him out on several occasions. the people are that are mad that you kicked him out prob dont fully understand what you are going through.

St Croix Legend bass opinions
are you talking about the legend tournament or legend elite/extreme? i have 2 legend elites (full grip) and i would put them up there with GLX as far as sensitivity goes. edit: im sorry, you were refering to Legend Tournament Bass. i didnt realize it had "bass" on the end. i have not used this rod, but i have used avids and i think theyre fantastic for the money so i assume you will like this rod. ive read someone say theyre almost but not quite as sensitive as IMX rods. im sure people that own this rod will chime in.

Kids fish anymore?
i was born in 76 and when i was growing up we had a huge bike gang in our neighborhood and we used to be riding to the lake to fish almost every day. i dont see any bike gangs anymore. i also never see a group of kids, like my gang, on the shores laughing and messing around with a catfish or bluegill. i do think internet and video games have a part in that. is it bad for fishing interest to go down? less people on the lake, right? but then you have less money going into maintaining fisheries... something i need to learn more about.

Good Rod Under 150$
i recommend: st. croix, falcon, fenwick, shimano, rogue heard good things about: dobyns, powell, all-star, kistler i like a sensitive rod for worm/jig. for $150 you should be able to find a St. Croix Avid or save up a little more and get Loomis IMX or GLX on sale.

Modern Warfare 2
i finally broke down and bought a console. hated the thought of having to learn to use the joystick instead of a mouse but now i like it. only problem with CS was the hackers. i think thats what made me stop playing.

Lure Combos?
we usually use different lures (jig and jerkbait for example) to see whats on the menu for the day. we dont have any set combos, just whatever you feel like tossing around that day. one guy doing a bottom bait and another doing something higher in the water column is a good starting point. once we find out where they are and what type of bait they want, we start changing size, retrieve speed and/or action, and color. ive had the bite stop using a watermelon (green) jig and trailer and something as subtle as changing it to green craw (green with brown strands) made all the difference in the world. even switched back to watermelon to prove to myself that it was the color. this particular example involved river smallmouth in clear 2-8 ft depths.

Modern Warfare 2
if im not mistaken, when you prestige you lose everyting youve earned. including perks. you do gain an extra custom class slot every time you prestige probably up to 10 total. your stats, emblems and call-signs stay the same. the power of the guns dont change but you will not have stopping power pro available ofcourse. someone please correct me if im wrong

Modern Warfare 2
i see your point. im about 14 days playing time deep (not proud of that) and i havent gotten bored yet. i guess i like being able to choose from everything available. the thought of working my way back up to unlocking the ACR makes me shudder. i asked my friend the same question and he said every time you prestige you get a new custom class slot. is that the only real benefit?

Another senko thread !

great news for both of you! you do want her to come along, dont you?? im lucky that my girlfriend loved fishing from the first time i took her out. her first fish ever was a 3lb largemouth caught on a e2 shakey jig/roboworm. that might have helped. take your wife somewhere you know they will be biting the first time she goes.
