  1. kevlar is very light but more expensive. i wouldnt get a kevlar canoe if you plan on scraping rocks in shallow rivers. check out native watercraft's ultimate kayak. its more like a canoe and super stable. you can stand and fish on it. the seats are very comfortable. you can add rod holders and electronics. if you plan on fishing alone id look into SOT kayaks. PM me if you have any specific questions about canoes.
  2. could you tell me the difference between these two rods with similar specs? i emailed loomis with this question but they havent replied. looking specifically at the BCR855 and MBR844C while i have you here, let me also ask how mossyback compares to IMX. thanks in advance -z
  3. im with dan how heavy are your swimbaits?
  4. i wont be able to fish for at least another 6 mos so im living vicariously through my equipment and lure purchases. the next baits i will buy will be shallow to medium depth cranks. whats your favorite crankbaits that are under 10 bucks? thanks -z
  5. have you looked into the st. croix avids? warranty is almost as good as loomis'. avs66mlf avs69mlxf
  6. AVC70MHF 7' MH Fast 12-20lb 3/8-1oz im thinking about buying this rod for my heavier lures. i plan on using this for frogs, 3/4oz jigs, 3/4 oz spinnerbaits and light swim baits (king shad, bbz-1) does this sound like a good choice? if you own this rod, let me know what you use it for. thanks in advance -z

  14. 5-6 in a boat 3-4 in canoe main reason i like several rods is that i hate switching baits on the same rod.

  17. those are the two longest sentences ive ever read.
  18. ive broken 4 bones while snowboarding and the ankle was the worst even though it was a hairline fracture. they xrayed, threw on the cast and said come back in 3 weeks. 3 months later i was still in a cast even after the fracture didnt show up in xray anymore. if your injury is like mine was, after a while you will feel like you can ditch the crutches and put a little weight on the ankle. the next day it will hurt again and delay the healing process.
  19. maybe you can set up an online store or ebay store and work fulltime somewhere else. when you make your first million take some of that and open a retail store.
  20. i caught a beaver and several snapping turtles. someone caught me in the cheek once.
  21. nice fish! be sure to post a pic when you get the replica. im glad you decided to get the replica instead of killing the fish cheers -z
  22. i always notice more wildlife when im in a canoe quietly floating down a slow river. for me its all about good company, zero noise pollution and good smoke. fish are a bonus.
