Braided Line with Fluorocarbon leader
I concur, but I use the braid striaght up without a leader I have found that fishing cover and in the shade under docks I don't need a leader just something to consider.

Boat pulling to the right
I gotta tell ya My 90 Merc's is striaght and my boat runs straight seems to me the yours is acting like a fixed rudder causing you boat to go to the right try adjusting it straight and work it from there adusting it in the opposite direction that your boat is running until it runs straight.

manual trim motors
I would put the motor up and use a transom saver there's more weight on the transom with the motor unsupported and all the way down. The saver will connect to the lower unit and to the bottom of the trailer. Here's a site for savers. www.veveinc.com/shop/customer/home.php?cat=18

is foot control that important?
Well I will have to add another option I don't use foot control or hand tiller control I use remote control called Co-Pilot works for me. Have a Minn Kota 24V Power Drive with the Auto-Pilot feature as well I have had no trouble as some have stated in this forum with this unit and yes be sure you get a variable speed motor which ever one you get.

Hey guys, new here with few questions!
Welcome to the forum. Depends on what time of year it is, If you fishing now in the cold then I would use a 3" jerkbait such as a Pointer 78SP or DD very slowly or a Senko riged as a jerkbait or wacky rigged also very slowly along dropoffs into the deeper water Bass in PA have not moved to spawn yet as the weather warms you can start to go shallow and can speed up the retreive just remember though it's illeagal to bed fish in PA. I would not be afraid to try small crankbaits as well. I fish Wallenpaupack for most of my PA fishing I can't use my main motor on Nokamixon and I have heard stories of boat owners waiting for over an hour at Beltsville just to launch their boats so I have stayed away from those 2 lakes but the Pack has the structure of both of those lakes from what I have seen on maps so fishing should be similar. Good Luck

armorall on rods
Armorall leaves an oily film behind and yes it will leave itself on your hands try using silicone spray it doesn't leave an oily film behind and will soak into the cork better.
-
Cabela's anglers backpack
I have that one and really like it. I use it on and off my boat mine came with 4 3600 boxes but it can be had without them.
