I like them both they both have their time and place both have different actions but if I had to chose one it would be the X-Rap.

I had some they are bad sold mine on Ebay at $2.00 you got cheated you couldn't give them to me for $0.00.

I have used Gamakatsu's, Diachi's, Mustad's Ultra Point, VMC's and yes Eagle Claw's Laser sharp hooks and would not hesitate to use anyone of these. The choice is yours.

I use coastlock snap swivels and have never had any major problems I only use spinning gear so to prevent line twist they are a must as far as I'm concerned. If you use spinners, jerkbaits hard and soft, topwater I would use them I do use only the black ones though.

I gotta tell ya that they are very popular in Europe I sold a boat load on Ebay and most of my customers were from there Germans were the biggest buyers so they must be doing something over there. I don't have any to sell as of now.

I would remove all the split rings and hooks use a disinfectant to clean them after that spray on some fish attractant and let soak for a couple of days when that's finished replace the hooks and split rings and don't forget to disinfect the tackle box as well.

Personally I would go for aluminum older glass boats from the 80's and early 90's used wood for stringers and transoms I know a fellow Angler that bought a 1985 glass boat and he had to replace the transom $650.00 worth and who knows wht's going on inside I also know a fellow angler that's using a 1968 16' Mirror Craft aluminum Deep V and it doesn't leak a glass boat would hard pressed to last this long.

That 29 to 31mph sounds about right according to Tracker's specs although I have a 2004 Tracker Targa 17SC with a 90 and the specs stated 39mph as tops but I'm getting 44mph with a full load and myself I'm running a stainless Merc prop. http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.motors&boat=2111
