What has changed so much in 70 years to reduce my daily catches from hundreds ?
Fishing for bedded bass during a tournament isn't a good strategy, but not because of mortality or damaging fish populations. Here's why: (it's cued up)

New Bass Fishing "How To" Videos at Bass Resource
Wow! Thank you so much! Mike and I spent a very long day on the water shooting those videos, dodging thunderstorms and coming in when there was barely any light left in the day. Many times we had planes and jets fly directly overheard (we were near an airport), and jet skiers/waterskiers zooming by, forcing us to reshoot. Comments like these make it all worthwhile! Keri and I don't script anything. We just turn on the cameras and go fishing during the weekends on heavily pressured, public waters just like you. No private waters stocked with lunkers, no hidden "secret" ponds or fishing in the middle of the week when there's less pressure, and no fake "excitement" with each catch. What you see is as authentic as it gets. Which makes it that much more difficult. And then there's the editing.... Sometimes we just want to hang it up and go fishing without the cameras (and sometimes we do!). But your comments like these make it all worthwhile. Your support serves as an inspiration to keep going. We are humbled and appreciative. Thank you all so much!

Fish Attractants
- Chemically sharpened vs cutting point hooks
Once a hook is dull, it doesn't matter how it came in the package. It won't work. So I sharpen it. For that matter, I often sharpen hooks right out of the package. I want my hook to dig into my fingernail, not scratch it. This means that often new hooks aren't sharp enough for my taste. Here's how I get them razor-sharp:- New video
Braid is for everything, right?- Issues with logging in / staying logged in
The common theme seems to be that those affected are using an iPhone to browse the community. If you are experiencing this problem, it's a long shot, but worth checking to see if you have private relay enabled or not (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614)- Win A New Reel!

Good 'ol rum & Coke tonight.- Cynical
Not really sure what drove that post Tom, but I get it. Some folks feel very comfortable taking cheap shots at others. To those folks, remember that life begins at the end of your comfort zone. For you Tom, remember it's their issue, not yours. You have enough on your plate. No need to take on their problems too. Tune them out, block them (you can do that here), and do whatever it takes to minimize their rhetoric. I live by my own advice. There's no way I could run this site for so long, and put my face on YouTube otherwise. You can't please everyone. So just be you and let the cards fall where they lay. Some will like you. Some won't. But at least you're being true to yourself.- Issues with logging in / staying logged in
I realize this is very annoying guys. It's happening to me as well. However the problem has been extremely difficult to solve. Rest assured, I'm still working on it with my developers and server admins. We'll get it figured out soon enough. Thanks for your patience!- Fishing crankbaits from the shore
Yes, it can be done! Drew Cook explains, and adds several tips along the way.- Split Shot
