  5. 18 gauge is fine, but you do need the reamer to clean it out between uses. Otherwise it gets clogged and won't work. Frankly, I don't fizz unless the bass is having difficulty staying upright in the livewell. That can happen regardless of how deep you catch them - and maybe not. Many times you don't need to do anything at all, even if you caught them deep. You just need to be observant and help them out if they're struggling to remain upright. Otherwise let them be.
  6. Curious if anyone tried this rig after learning how to do it from this video. I'd love to know the results!
  7. And scene....
  8. I've encountered dozens of black bears and that's been my experience. Big fraidy cats! I've also been way too close for comfort with brown bears. You don't want them to know you're they're. You do not want to mess with them!
  9. Before social media existed, same thing used to be said about pros with TV shows and/or regular magazine columns, or non-pros with fishing TV shows and/or routinely featured in mags. Old comments, new mediums. "Pro" or not, people with deep knowledge willing to share it in meaningful ways that reach a large audience will always catch the attention of sponsors.
  10. Black bears are harmless. They're more scared of you than you are of them. The only time you need to be cautious is when cubs are around. Otherwise just clap your hands and they'll run away.
  11. I wouldn't trust it. Any ".online" domain is to be treated as suspicious and dangerous. Never have I found a legit site using that TLD. But I've found a ton of spammers and hackers that do.
  12. While a lot of baits are still made in China, it's not as much as most think. Many higher-quality manufacturers have turned to Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, and even Japan. And yes, some baits are also made in Mexico, Guatemala, and the good ole USA. Overall, I'd say little more than half the baits are still made in China.

  17. Wow, thank you! I appreciate that. Glad I could help.
  18. Yup, I certainly do! I really have to bite my lip when it comes to other channels. I'll just say I don't watch them - no, seriously. I don't. I can't tolerate them, except for 1 or 2. And even then... I don't want to be like anyone else, so I don't watch them so I can avoid any influence. I just do my own thing. I have more than 10 years broadcast video production experience (directing, producing, shooting, editing, audio, lighting, and live TV) and 2 Telly's to my name (videography and editing). That's all I need to create quality videos.
  19. Rum & coke for me. And NOT Capt'n Morgan! Ugh.
  20. Well, the fun thing about being an experienced angler that happens to also have a YouTube channel, is that I get to show all those up-n-comers a few old school lures every now and then!
  21. Good to have you here Rich!
  22. I have a few myth-busting videos... And and an all-time favorite:
