  8. Since they want something dragged slowly on the bottom, you can also try threading a 5" white grub onto a 1/2oz bare football jig. Also try finesse jigs, and don't shy away from hair jigs dragged on the bottom too. Good luck!
  9. Actually, you just explained the reason why those things cause problems. Now that bandwidths and speeds are no longer an issue, it's really a poor practice to use those things these days, because they screw up your browsing experience more often than not, as witnessed above.
  10. Pro angler Michael Neal details his tricks for catching Winter bass with worms. Some great ideas here!

    Here's how I do it:
  12. Clearing cache works if you're seeing errors. Not so much for improving speed. If you're browser is slowing down, I recommend closing the browser, doing the ctrl+alt+delete routine, clicking "task manager", and then manually closing the browser from there. Better yet, reboot your computer. Often times browsers exhibit memory leaks, which can bog them down over time without restarting. Doing the above will clear that.
  13. Well I was going to recommend 15lb, as I feel that's an all-purpose line. But with this statement....12 lb should suite you well.

No, not at all. Just read my first post. It explains his name. A lot of folks don't know what it means.
  15. Hey Folks- It's been 5 years since we've made any changes to the moderator crew, and with the explosive growth in popularity of these forums, an update is long overdue. So I'm excited to announce that @TnRiver46 is joining the moderator crew! The moderators unanimously agreed he'd be a great moderator, and Russell graciously accepted. He is a well-seasoned veteran of these forums, with a demonstrated skill for catching those big, elusive Tennessee river smallmouths. Combine that with his respect for others and the desire to share his knowledge and we know he’ll make a great addition to the moderator crew! Please take a moment to welcome him to his new position!

This is worth a 2nd look.
  17. The Free Rig has unique characteristics that are especially productive during winter. Shin Fukae is well-known for his expertise using this rig, and he explains how he uses it in this video.
  18. Get a 7' 1" MH rod with a reel that has a gear ratio between 6.5:1 and 7.3:1. That's an all-purpose setup you can use for jigs, T-rigged worms/creature baits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and a whole lot more.
  19. Catastrophic loss of life and property. I hope everyone on the forums is ok. For those of you who attended the Kentucky Lake RoadTrip at Moors Resort, the tornado passed about 3/4 mi to the north of it. It sustained minor damage, but the nearby neighborhood of beautiful lakefront homes was wiped out....completely. They found a car in the lake.
  20. Ever have one of these? I did. Yes, let's give our children a hotplate with an ungrounded plug to play with. LOL! How did we ever survive childhood? LOL! My wife and I were commenting the other day that we never wore helmets when bike riding, or pads when skateboarding, or any protective gear when riding horses. Got a few bumps and bruises along the way, but nothing serious. Heck, my sister and I used to ride in the back of the pickup going down the freeway. Good times!
  21. I had the first two. I haven't heard of the last one. But I had a cap gun. Does that count? Anyone remember smashing these with rocks or a hammer?
