  1. That live bait fishing is easy and guaranteed to work. That baitcasting reels are better than spinning reels. That spinning reels are better than baitcasting reels. That leaders are necessary. That braid is the best line for most techniques. That tournaments harm fisheries. That bass aren't shallow during summer. I could keep going, but I'll stop right there. There's a lot of myths in bass fishing...
  2. Care to share your personal experience to back up that statement? Or are you just saying that because you've read a few bad reviews? If you've never tried them, then...well. It's easy to find bad reviews on nearly every product - just look on Amazon. Simply repeating those negative reviews when you've never tried them doesn't seem to be much help. My .02 - the fishing industry is a cutthroat industry. It wouldn't be a stretch at all to discover that many of the "bad" reviews are contrived by competitors. So unless you have personal experience with the product, take the "bad" reviews with a grain of salt. That said, if you DO have any issues, well that's what warranties are for, right? And all KastKing products have warranties. Although I haven't had to use them yet, and I have 4 of their reels. Who said that? Do you have a link?
  3. Columbia Silver Ridge pants are excellent for hot summer days. https://amzn.to/2SwJGaT
  4. ^^ This ^^ In bass fishing, it's about accuracy, not distance. Even when fan casting, getting it "all the way out there" is not the best approach. So distance - to me at least - is not a major consideration.
  5. Oh if you only knew half of it! LOL!! But yes, if you're wondering. Bobby and I go way back.
  6. A distinction without a difference. And scene....
  7. Usually there is, so the safe bet is to assume only the best, if you were to assume at all.
  8. It's time to move on. And scene....
  9. I just published this a few moments ago! Hope you like it!
  10. I wanted to talk to you, but you were pretty engaged in the conversation you were having with the other 2 gentlemen, and I needed to jet to my next meeting. I didn't see you after that.
  11. ^^ This ^^ I've had my channel for 10 years now. I have made over 600 videos (average of 1 video per week for 10 years). I don't know about anyone else, but hours and hours of work go into nearly every video I make. What do I have to show for it? A few hundred dollars per month from YouTube. Better than a sharp stick in the eye, but hardly a "cash grab". The really $$ is in sponsorship, which is not stable income. It's not something you can rely on, because it's a here today, gone tomorrow kind of thing. It takes hard work to maintain partnerships, and even more hard work to obtain new ones. I could cite more examples, but the bottom line is this: it's not easy money. While I personally do not like the Googans, I have to commend them for being able to make a living off of what they do. If it were easy, there'd be a whole lot more of them around.
  12. I've been using it on my crankbait rod. Very smooth, and it makes effortless casts. I like how it's easy to adjust the brake system - the brakes just click in or out, without fear of them falling out (or into the reel) due to the enclosed housing. Makes it easy to make on-the-water adjustments. Drag is nice and smooth too. Comfortable reel handles/grips. I think my only "gripe" about it is when my hands get wet it's a little difficult to grip due to the super-smooth frame. But otherwise it's every bit a $250 reel at a far less price.
  13. Yes, I have it. I think several mods have it as well.
  14. One more....

  16. Actually it's the opposite. I held them at ICAST and was surprised at how light they were. And the one hand latch? Yup, easy as advertised. I asked about the label system - what if you need to change the name? You can use Windex to clean off the writing...so the label is reusable.
  17. Netbait is now owned by American Baitworks, who have been on a buying spree of many brands this year (Netbait, Freedom Tackle, SnagProof, and Scumfrog), after receiving investment funding at the beginning of the year. They're in the midst of building a new production facility, which is likely why certain colors/models are unavailable at the moment.

  19. The states that are wide open for anyone to take are: CT,DE,IA,ME,MD,MA,NY,RI and VT Seriously, nobody has entered, meaning your kid's 1 pound bass will get him a chance to win. The end of the BBJC tournament is Aug 15 so time is so critical.
  20. Nope. They're not at ICAST. Actually, they have 3600, 3700, and 4 specialty boxes. This is just the first wave. I'm sure there's more on the way.
