I just visited the 911 memorial/museum in NYC two weeks ago. Definitely not "enjoyable", but I'm glad I went. Really emotional on multiple levels. Been to Pearl Harbor too, and it's a similar experience. Everyone should go to both if they can.

When I lived in an apartment, I used to practice at school football and baseball fields during the evenings and weekends when nobody was around.

I have this rod and really like it. I use it for pitching baits, but it would be a great frog rod too. You'll notice the tip flexes more than you'd expect with a heavy power rod. That's to make up for the lack of stretch in braid. But it also does a great job of flinging frogs out there!

True, Kennedy is better, but the traffic to Manhattan from there is HORRENDOUS! A 1 1/2hr cab drive to go 20 miles? Seriously? Laguarda is a lousy airport, but the traffic is better. 6 of one, 1/2 doze of another.

Flown into Denver multiple times, and it's not that bad compared to Juneau, AK. It's like comparing a gravel road to a dirt road full of potholes. You literally drop in over a mountain - fast. The cross winds can be pretty strong.

Hundreds of times commercially and on private seaplanes. Lost count decades ago. Used to fly 15-20x per year. Now I fly about 7-10x per year. My wife? About 40. Lots of conventions. Suffice to say, I'm sick of Vegas.

I use a trailer all the time, every time. I never use trailer hooks. If the fish are short striking or just following the bait, then I change colors or blades until I figure out what they want.

Are you fishing exclusively from the bank? If so, the Tri-Cities area offers a lot of bank fishing opportunities.
