Avid - you're going to give me heartburn. This topic teeters on the edge of being too political for these forums. The mods and I are keeping a very close watch on this one. Fair warning.

    You don't!
  4. NIce fish!! and great shots! Love the last one. ;D
  5. Well, us fantasy football leaguers get something out of it.
  6. 37-7.... and that's the halftime score!
  7. We have a winner! Score ended up 34-13 Pats. Not a bad guess! Steelers got PANCAKED!! ...and the Seahawks win their 4th consecutive divisional title by dominating the Cardinals 42-21.
  8. Fletch - If your intent was to get the last word in, congratulations. You also succeeded at throwing in a jab intented to hurt another, which means you just succeeded in fulfilling the very stereotype you're trying to defend. Congratulations.
  9. I don't believe that to be the case. I think there's more ex-cons who have successfully reformed than people realize, but often they struggle to "fit in" because society won't let them. But that's not "newsworthy". It's the ones that reoffend that get the publicity, because it's "shocking", "disturbing", etc. That's what sells newspapers. So if that's all you hear about, then you're led to believe the problem is larger than it really is. Plus, you're less apt to "give a convict a break" if you're afraid they'll re-offend. Case in point. That said, there's always room for improvement.

    Mornin'. On my way over!
  11. Three reasons: 1. A plain, generic ring is boring 2. The music lets you know you've called the right number - even before anyone answers. 3. Caller Tunes are a form of creative expression and personalization. btw - mine is "I'm Gonna Miss Her". A song about fishing. Appropriate, eh?
  12. This is boring. *Yawn*
  13. It hit the north and south parts of western washington the worst. So from approx. Everett northward and Tacoma south. Of the 2 halves, the southern part got hit the worst. Bellingham had a lot of high winds and some flooding, and so did parts of the San Juans, so they're probably OK, but may have suffered some damage.
  14. Guys - I wasn't "working" on it. The database became corrupt and threw the weird errors. I went in and restored everything from backup, so we should be good to go now.

  16. In case you missed it on the national news, Washington and Oregon got slammed by hurricane force winds and record rainfall on Monday. This, after receiving snow just the day before. The heavy rain, combined with the melting snow to create the worst flooding ever on record. Thousands of homes have been lost, and a 20-mile stretch of I-5 (THE freeway that connects Washington with Oregon/California) is closed due to flooding (over 10 feet in some areas). Many bridges have been destroyed. Hundreds had to be rescued by helicopter. Fortunately, the death toll is less than 15, however thousands of livestock perished. The immense distruction is so widespread, they cannot even estimate the damage in dollars. The closure of I-5 alone is amounting to 4 million dollars lost per day. Because this has happened in a "far corner" of the U.S., the national news has little coverage nor mention about it. 17. It was a troll who's been spamming the Internet. He's gone. Bye bye.
  18. Ok, so if I'm reading this right, this isn't what happened to YOU, Robert. You copied it from another forum, correct? Just wanted clarify that. What a horrible story. I'd hate to be that guy. And what a trajedy for her family. Members - please refrain from turning this thread into a guns rights thread. We've had that conversation many times already with heated results. Let's not go down that path again.
  19. The Steelers can beat anyone because they have the refs in their back pockets. It's impossile to beat a team when the refs continue to make questionable calls in Pittsburgh's favor. And what's with all the national TV exposure? A Monday night game vs. Miami? *YAWN* Followed immediately by another boring Sunday night game against the Bengals? Both games filled, might I add, with questionable calls in their favor.... again. How can such a mediocre team get such airtime and so many calls in their favor? I smell a rat. Oops, did I say that in my outloud voice? : New England, in the end, is the better football team. Pittsburgh would need to play a great game to have a chance, while the Pats can play just a “good” game and win. The Steelers will not be good enough. That said, with the help of the referees, anything is possible.
  20. I think I know what might be the problem. PM me with your browser information (brand, version) and operating system. I think I can help.
  21. No need to know the details. Just know that he spammed the site with over 100 racist remarks. He's been wiped off the boards and banned forever now. All done. Nothing to see here. Move along now.
  22. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and follow the instructions. It's very easy.
  23. To see which version of IE you're running, go to the top of the browser and then click "Help", then "About....".
  24. Hello, If you're using IE6, please upgrade to IE7 now. There are some new features that I will be implementing soon on the forums, but they will only work in FireFox and IE7. What are those features? Guess you'll have to wait to find out! :
