I guess that's why I like Hank Parker's show. Ya the plug is there, but it's not in your face like the others. The real focus is about teaching/entertainment. The product plugs seem to blend in better and are more seamless.

I'm glad the Colts won for only one reason - now they'll stop talking about Manning and the legendary curse. Personally, I would've liked to have seen an NFC team win. But at least the AFC team didn't need the refs to help them win this year. So it brought some credibility back into the Superbowl. Sorry, but my heart just wasn't into it this year. I wrongly predicted the Broncos/Seahawks would be in the Superbowl. At least the Hawks made it into to playoffs - something no other team that has lost the Superbowl in the last decade has been able to to in the following year. But in the end, it was two teams I really don't have any interest in. But we had a big group of friends over, had a blast, and the commercials in the 1st half were great! And my wife won $500 bucks in an office pool! Looking forward to next year. In the mean time, BRING ON NASCAR!!

I've caught a number of 4lbs 10-ouncers (haven't been able to break that elusive 5lb mark yet). I've used 1/8oz green pumpkin finesse jigs tipped with green pumpkin MadMan craws, 3- and 5-inch Kalins grubs (smoke), deep-diving crankbaits (firetiger, purple), Zoom Frogs (brown top, white belly), and even spinnerbaits (3/4oz White Hank Parker). Just can't seem to get the 5+ pound girls to bite. No wait! I did HOOK one over 6 pounds on a deep diving Frenzy lure (perch pattern), but she straightened out the hooks, even on a loose drag, then finally jumped clear out of the water and threw the lure! All I could do was hang on and pray. She had total control. It was like hooking onto a freight train!

We're having 20 people over at our place. Everyone is bringing something, so it's going to be a feast!

Those are some very healthy, nice looking bass! I'm envious.

Saw Bill Engvall last night live, and MAN was he great! My stomache muscles hurt from laughing so much - and for so long. He was on stage for 2 hours with all new stuff. The man is a riot. If you have a chance to see him, DO IT! We got a glimpse of some of his routines that will be on his upcoming DVD. So if you don't get to see him, at least get it when it comes out. It's the best stuff I've ever heard from him. Also, he told us last night he's in a new movie with Larry the Cable Guy. They are two guys that, due to a computer glitch, are somehow drafted to go serve in Iraq. So, here they are getting on the plane on the way over there. Not wanting to sit with the "regular" army guys, they find a spot in the back with all the equipment.... and fall asleep. During the flight, the plane experiences trouble and jettisons the cargo - them included. So, they're awakened rather rudely, chutes deploy, and they land in a desert area, thinking they are in Iraq.... but they're not. They're in Mexico! And Larry is in charge! Sounds like this one is going to be a gut-buster! ;D

Hey guys, Instead of getting upset over proposed bills, and then whitewashing an entire party with one general stroke, dig a little deeper into the issues that matter most to you and discover what problems they're trying to solve with these proposals. Then call or write your representative and senator and propose alternative solutions - even if that means they're part of the "other" party. What better deed to do than enlightening them with alternative solutions? Posting rants about your general distain of one party or the other to a bunch of fishermen isn't going to make much difference. Be a part of the solution instead. Participate in American democracy. Otherwise you have no reason to complain.

I'd replace the seals if I were you. I once found a tiny, dime-shaped dab of oil under my engine. Just out of paranoia, I took it to the shop. Turns out the seal was bad and my lower unit was full of water! Fortunately, I caught it early enough and there wasn't any damage. Go get it checked out. It's CHEAP insurance compared to the repair bill.

I had the same issues too. Then one day I got tired of it, got a cheapo spool of line I had won somewhere, and experimented - pulling the line to one side and then the other while spooling to see what happened. Viola! Figured out what everyone has been saying here (this was well before the web existed). Now I have a Berkley spooling station and it works great (provided you center the spool first). It's a lot faster and easier to spool line too.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the dentist yet. Although I don't mind dental work at all. Mine: 1. The house burning down 2. Earthquakes 3. Paranormal experiences 4. Blanking at a tournament.

I'm afraid we'll be sold out by then. But yes, we have come a long way in a short amount of time!
