  1. As always, our library has a host of articles on this subject: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Jerkbait_fishing.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/jerkbaits_bass_fishing.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/jerkbaits_muddy_water.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/Husky_Jerkbait.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fish_jerkbait.html Enjoy!
  2. Sorry Avid, but I'm pretty sure he already left. He deleted a bunch of his posts and changed his profile information. I think everything that needed to be said has been said. Let's stay true to our culture and refrain from bashing Craig. As I understand it, this isn't like him. So I'm VERY interested to know what's behind his behavior. Actually, I'm quite certain I know what it is. I'm just surprised Craig allowed himself to be misled so much that he was willing to scar his own reputation. Maybe Craig should have done a tinsy bit of research first. I won't elaborate, so don't ask. I posted this for Craig to read. If he does, then he knows what I'm talking about.

Those are outstanding smallies. Quality fish by any standard. I'm envious. What kind of jig/pig did you use (weight/color), technique, and depth? PM me with the info if you feel it might be used to deplete your honey holes. I'm not it your part of the country - I just want to learn!
  4. Man that is too cool! People meeting on this forum, and then getting together for great fun and fishing. Sounds like a blast!! T-shirts, shorts, and sandels.... and it's snowing right now outside my window. I AM ENVIOUS!!
  5. Awesome! That's what I'm talking about!
  6. Long Mike - different guy. But you're right, PM's have been sent. Craig - I DO hope you understand it is the manner and method in which your "help" was delivered, and not the accuracy or depth of the information that was presented, that is cause for concern. From what I gather from various PM's from different people, your post, and a similar one on a different forum, is out of character for you. Unfortunately, most people here do not know you, including me. So our perception of you is based off that post. I'm always open to suggestions. Just PM me with your thoughts. And in case you aren't sure yet, yes I am the site owner. Glenn
  7. I disagree, Raul. Wealth of knowledge or not, I will not tolerate arrogance here. It does not grant you special permission to circumvent common courtesy. The very best in our sport know far more than we hope to remember, yet they never talk down to you nor do they bash other anglers/authors. Can you even image Bill Dance, Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon, Mark Davis, etc. behaving in such a manner?! Never! In fact, the more knowledgeable the person, the more respectful I expect them to act. ------------------------ Thank you all for acknowledging the effort the mod squad and I put into this little project. We enjoy it immensely.
  8. My bread-n-butter presentation is to just bring it back quickly, and bump into stuff along the way. But I always experiement with all the retrieves before reaching for another lure. One thing also to try is to just kill it while retrieving. Sometime bass will just follow it, and abruptly killing it will often force the strike.
  9. Here ya go! http://www.bassresource.com/fish/spinnerbaits.html Enjoy!
  10. You're very welcome!! I'm glad you're here and enjoy the site. It's people like you that make this such a great place. Best regards, Glenn
  11. Lake Fork in March! 2nd place would be the John Day river in April. I wrote an article about that on this site.
  12. Interesting thoughts. The one thing you didn't mention was the livewell. I strongly believe the next big area in line for a "technology upgrade" is the livewell system. Automated temperature and oxygen control mechanisms, pH and toxin level monitors, automated injection of Catch & Release to maintain a preset level, protection around the latches to prevent injury during transit in rough water, etc. I forsee a lot of these innovations coming soon.
  13. Jim Owens of CAST for Kids just informed me today that he won't be able to make it. On another note, the wife and I have our plane tickets. Woo Hoo!
  14. The only banner that works that way on this site is the Bass Pro Shops banner. Also, just to clarify, the percentage of the sale doesn't go to me, it goes to the site to help pay for expenses.
  15. In addition to that, the in-fighting on the squad and amongst the coaches is absurd! NO head coach in his right mind would want to step into that mess! That's just setting yourself up for failure.
  16. I did it for a few times down at the Edmonds pier. The last time was about 12 years ago.

It was a fantastic game. Awesome play calling and execution. And I'm not a college football fan at all - I'm big NFL fan. But a game like that makes me want to watch more college bowls! Sure wish the NFL teams had plays like that in their playbooks.

I did some research today. In you're using Internet Explorer 7, there are several enhanced and tighten security features that have been incorporated into IE7. One of them been restricted Clipboard data access by websites and web pages. In Internet Explorer 7, both IE 7 installed on Windows XP or IE7 that comes together with Windows Vista, the behaviour occurs when you visit a website or webpage that tries to access the information stored in Clipboard's memory, as Clipboard's memory stored data can be sensitive and private. For security purpose, IE7 will pop-up a warning alert message as below: If you allow this, the webpage can access the Clipboard and read information that you've cut or copied recently. You will then need to press or click “Don't Allow” or “Allow” button to get pass the popup message. This security feature can be disabled. To disable the pop up warning message about possible harmful or unauthorized Clipboard access, follow the steps below: Go to Tools -> Internet Options. Go to Security tab. Select “Internet” zone, then click on “Custom level…” button. Scroll down to “Scripting” section (at the bottom few). Under “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” option, check or select (tick) Enable. Default action for this option is a Prompt, which cause the pop-up message whenever there is any attempt to access the Clipboard. Click Ok twice to exit from Internet Options. Changing the preference to Enable for “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” option can increase security risk. You can set it to Disable to disallow all website's access to Clipboard's resident data. However, the better and more secure alternative is to edit the “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” setting for “Trusted sites” zone (steps same as above, only that you select “Trusted sites” in step 3 instead of “Internet”), and add the websites that you trusted and selected into Trusted sites zone. Hope that helps!
  21. I soooooo knew that! :
  22. I'm changing my name to "Girn Blanstaad"
  23. Thanks Avid. You're sensational!
