How much wind is too much?
15 is annoying 20 I seek protected areas (unless the bass are slamming baits in open water) 25 I show off how my Ranger can handle it. (...as I head for the ramp) 30 I stay home. (Unless it's a tournament, then I stick to protected areas near the ramp) 35 I'm putting the boat on the trailer no matter what time the weigh-in is! Wind speed is also relevant to the topography and the angle at which your lake is orientated to the wind direction. So 15mph might be fine on one lake, and white caps on another. So really, it's more than just wind speed you need to consider. Here's what I mean:

Question to Forum and Raul
It's ok to print stuff for your own personal records. You just can't sell or distribute it (even if it's free).

Bees in my boat
I'd call an exterminator and get his advice. Perhaps also call the local University and see if they wanted a brand-spanking new hive for their studies --- Just come pick it up! Or... maybe call a beekeeper and see what he says. Maybe he'll even take it off your hands.

Ultralight Bass Fishing
I think the point is in the challenge of using light line and light rods. The onus is much more on the angler, rather than the gear, to haul in a big bass.

Problem with holeshot???
Do you trim the motor all the way down before hitting the throttle? Since you mentioned this is your first boat, you may not know you need to trim it all the way down first, and then start trimming it back up after the front end starts to come down. If you start with the motor trimmed up, the bow will come up high, and then as it comes down your RPMs will shoot up with little gain..... then you'll porpoise a little before it finally begins to smooth out as it gains speed. A takes a little practice with the trim switch to learn when and how much trim to adjust as you're gaining speed. So don't worry about "getting it right" at first -- just improving as you learn the "sweet spots". Hope that helps! P.S. Don't slam the throttle all the way down when you start. You're hole shot will be faster if you do it a bit slower. It's much like flooring it on your car - you'll go faster if you don't burn out. Plus, slamming it down puts a lot of stress on the prop and will weaken it. Eventually, you'll spin it on something seemingly simple, and wonder why.

Could it be a possibility?
No, sorry, that's not the case. Bass do not have expandable pupils. They don't need them. Their eyes contain pigments that shield eye cells from bright light. I suggest you look at the eyes of fish you catch on your next trip for comparison. You may be surprised to learn they all look the same, no matter the depth or conditions.
