I am a big fan of Diawa, I have the Tierra, Sol, Fuego and the Zillion. And I have to say that each reel performs extremely well for certain applications. I seem to use a jig more than anything else and for that I use my Zillion. I absoultely love that real and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy Diawa. IMO

I took the boat out today and a noticed that spring loaded lever on the winch hook has been bent. Can i some how replace the hook without replacing the entire strap? Or is it even worth the hassle? :-/ Thanks in advance

Hey guys just got thru reading about the lakes surronding San Diego. And I have a Question, whos up for some bassin? I can only go on Wensdays and Thursdays. But, I have a small bass boat or I would be willing to pay for gas and entrance fees. I know its a little late in the season, but since DVL closed down I hurtn for a new honey hole, and I have never fished any of these lakes. Let me know guys... 8-)

Im pretty short a mere 5'7" and I prefer a 6'6 rod. Youve got to be able to toss thoose light JBs.

Theres a Club in Norco right down the 15 fwy. Its held at the sizzler on Hamner ave. You might want to call them and the sizzler and Im sure they can give times and dates..

I recently bought my father-in-law his first baitcaster. It was a BPS extrme, and to say the least he loves it. Good first reel to learn on. Once you get the hang of use a baitcaster, you wont want to use anything else.. 8-)

What is this high school english class? Good luck changing the carpet boss. I personally have never done the job. But if I knew how I would defintely help you out.

Ive had baitcasters for a few years now, but have never really performed any maintenace on them. Except to oil all the moving parts on the outside.. What exactly do I need to do to keep my reels in good working condition? The majority of my reels are Diawa.

You are a fortunate young man to have parents like that. ;D Sorry to hear about the rick clunn, this rod and reel was my first baitcast setup. It was a great learning tool. I still have mine on the the rack in the garage, I havent used it in a couple of years. But my father in-law just got a boat, so I think that this set up is going to Texas to wait for me to arrive next spring.

I was at the BPS in Rancho on Wensday and I was told that Shimano hadnt shipped any of its products to the store. HMM :-X

What are some general maintenace procedures that I should be doing with my boat? I.E. Grease the bearings?

I recently spooled a new reel with line that I had on another reel. Today I used the new reel and I could not get a way from birds nest. I set the all the adjustments over and over again. Could the line be the reason? The equiment was a diawa fuego and 10 p line halo..help please.

Actually Lake laguna nigel and lake mission viejo, hold same serious sized bass.And they are both very small lakes...

Gary Yammamoto Hula Grubs, are hands down my favorite bait. I fish them on a 1/4 oz. roundball jig head. Ive caught many different sized bass with this bait. I actually caught my PB for Diamond Valley Lake on this bait. It weighed in at 7.8, I fish them shallow or deep. Good colors are Watermelon with gold flake, Watermelon with black flake, and Black with silver flake

Ok guys, heres the problem. I went out to the local lake, I was using a dropshot setup. I have 6lb trilene on the reel and I use a palomar knot. I caught one, released the little guy. A few casts later I hook into a bigger fish but this time my line snaps at the knot. I previously was using berkly transitions, and I had the same problem. I thought it was the line but since I changed the line I figure I might be doing something wrong. Help Please... :-[ Is there a certain line that you would recommend?

Wow! I actually use Ikas all the time, and I have never thought of using them as a topwater. I might give it a try... :-?
