Funny thats what the 401 K guys, From Fidelity- said 15 years ago to 523 workers at my site. 418 listned to them , and everyone I know who took that advice then is in the hole now. I could not buy at the time and I never will trust these mooks with my money Just last week they were saying it is best not to run and stay in, so my friend Ralph did, that cost him another 9,300 bucks. Ralph is 64 years old and will never see that money come back, he should have been told to take out what he has left, I am no expert I have never been anyone's fool either. They are all too greedy and self serving for me to trust. That advice was not the truth and you do o not have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.

That is a good observation Ed. I respected Mr. Winters , he fought a lot of dens and for me his best message was to enjoy whatever type of insanity may be affecting you. 8-)

I am with you Kent, my friends have really been hurt and they are all in their late 50's and early 60's and can not afford to wait for it to rebuild. Many do not even have the values for the homes they own to sell for that nest egg.

First striper....
If the tide is running , try to get your hands on a larger size ACME SPOON with the flat sides. Keep your eye out for the birds, slamin bunker, thorw it right in there and you will come up with some nice stripers off the shore that way. Also try where the Gerrritsen Beach Channel( right straight out from the Tamaqua Club) Meets the bay and right across the Belt Parkway there at Plum Beach Good Luck!

Favorite Comedians?
Robin Williams started well before Howie Mandel so it would seem that Mandel would be copying Williams if anyone was plagiarizing. I watched both of these guys in their heyday and Robin Williams was one of the best. Howie was an also-ran. I don't see the comparison though Robin isn't as funny now as he was then. It was all fresh then. Anyway, everyone has an opinion, including me. Jonathan Winters Robin Williams Dave Chapelle Red Skelton Wanda Sykes I have seen some smaller-time comedians who would rival any of the best though I can't remember their names. Sometimes it's about being in the right place at the right time. Hey Fellas: Comedians frequently pay homage to those that came before them, much like musicians. If I am correct they even call parts of thier style RIFFS, if you ever saw Richard Pryor, you could see the part of Red Foxx that was in him,There is nothing wrong with adding new ideas onto older style. It is almost a natural progression of things.

SICILIAN CHEESE CAKE WARNING: to ROADWARRIOR,LBH and .GHOTI. ( 3 most likey to try this) This recipie calls for 1/4 ounce of Sambucca, this does not mean you drink the rest of the bottle while baking this. This practice has been associated with many burned cakes also: again Ricotta Cheese = fresh sheep's milk Ricotta Cheese 2 1/2 lbs of Fresh Sheep's milk Ricotta cheese 1/4 Sambucca ( Veccia Romano, is the brand my family uses ) 1/4 flour 3Tsp amaro 7 egg yolks 3/4 cup suga 1/2 tsp salt ( even less) 1 whole orange zested 1/3 cup of candied fruits ( or only oranges) 1/2 cup Pignolli nuts ( Pine Nuts: browned , stove top in a frying pan) Start heating the oven to 275 degrees In Large Bowl ( I like to use stainless for this, glass too heavy) 1. Mix your dry stuff; sugar/flour and salt 2.add: Ricotta/amaro/sambucca and all of the orange zest 3. now mix in the egg yolks 4. Wisk it good = will yield the traditional grainy texture or if you use a mixer/blender you get a much creamer cake 5.Butter a 9 inch spring/form baking pan\ 6. add mixture to baking pan 7. and now add the pour all orange peel left over from the orange you zested on top of the mixture with the Roasted pine nuts THESE TWO ITEMS ONLY GO ON TOP OF THE CAKE< DO NOT MIX IN! Just kind of gentley push them into the very top of the misture with a spoon 8. Bakes in about one hour JUST MAKE SURE THE CAKE IS SET UP, pushing Toothpick dead center in the cake and pulling it out will tell you if it's set up ENJOY IT !!!!!!!!! Espresso Coffe with this one again this is a very basic and traditional recipie, most folks have a similar if not identical recipie, you can leave out the sambucca and add Gran Mariner or Amaretto and get different flavors that way. If you do use Amaretto switch out the Pignolli Nuts for Almonds

LEGAL ISSUE WITH PENNSYLVANIA DNR Re: POND DAM ON PRIVATE PROPERTY
This is an actual letter sent to a man named Ryan DeVries regarding a pond on his property. It was sent by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Quality, State of Pennsylvania . This guy's response is hilarious, but read The State's letter before you get to the response letter. State of Pennsylvania 's letter to Mr. DeVries: SUBJECT: DEQ File No.97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Lycoming County Dear Mr. DeVries: It has come to the attention of the Department of Environmental Quality that there has been recent unauthorized activity on the above referenced parcel of property. You have been certified as the legal landowner and/or contractor who did the following unauthorized activity Construction and maintenance of two wood debris dams across the outlet stream of Spring Pond. A permit must be issued prior to the start of this type of activity. A review of the Department's files shows that no permits have been issued. Therefore, the Department has determined that this activity is in violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Pennsylvania Compiled Laws, annotated. The Department has been informed that one or both of the dams partially failed during a recent rain event, causing debris and flooding at downstream locations. We find that dams of this nature are inherently hazardous and cannot be permitted. The Department therefore orders you to cease and desist all activities at this location, and to restore the stream to a free-flow condition by removing all wood and brush forming the dams from the stream channel. All restoration work shall be completed no later than January 31, 2007. Please notify this office when the restoration has been completed so that a follow-up site inspection may be scheduled by our staff. Failure to comply with this request or any further unauthorized activity on the site may result in this case being referred for elevated enforcement action.. We anticipate and would appreciate your full cooperation in this matter. Please feel free to contact me at this office if you have any questions. Sincerely, David L. Price District Representative and Water Management Division. Here is the actual response sent back by Mr. DeVries: Re: DEQ File No. 97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Lycoming County Dear Mr. Price, Your certified letter dated 12/17/06 has been handed to me to respond to. I am the legal landowner but not the Contractor at 2088 Dagget Lane , Trout Run, Pennsylvania . A couple of beavers are in the (State unauthorized) process of constructing and maintaining two wood 'debris' dams across the outlet stream of my Spring Pond. While I did not pay for, authorize, nor supervise their dam project, I think they would be highly offended that you call their skillful use of natures building materials 'debris.' I would like to challenge your department to attempt to emulate their dam project any time and/or any place you choose. I believe I can safely state there is no way you could ever match their dam skills, their dam resourcefulness, their dam ingenuity, their dam persistence, their dam determination and/or their dam work ethic.

Well for one I like the football heads for rocks and places that have a lot of hang up spots. The wider head keeps em out of the cracks!
