Hey Fellas: Me and Bruce had to run to Cabelas at Hamburg PA today, and we have 2 ponds we like to fish right by there. They are on the Hawk Mountain Game Lands, nope not telling where : THE GOOD: One of the ponds was really down and the weeds really up, Plastics and Jigs were proving useless. I noticed a lot of spalshing by some Lily Pads and knocked down trees. I remembered Zel's mantra ALL LILLY PADS HOLD GOOD FISH. I went top water. I started with a Jitterbug, but it was snaging the ^*$#@# Coontail too much so I switched to a higher riding Spitting Image. 2NICE FISH back to back one 2# the other just a shade under 3# THE BAD: The bigger fish had sucked the trebeles into his gills, and while I had to use my pliers, by the time I got them out, he spit the lure from his gills and he was bleeding bad. I tried to put him back, HE WENT BELLY UP. This is the 3rd fish I have killed in 11 years, I guess the water temps being so high and the pond so low left him all the stress he could handle. Bruce Filleted him , I hate to waste a fish. The Ugly: Elaine boguht me new sunglasses on Friday, I had a lure hung up on the other pond. While retirieving that lure, THE FREAKING SUNGLASSES FELL IN THE POND and I couldn't find them, So years total of stuff falling in the water has climbed One Cabelas Fish Eagle II Rod One Cabelas Prodigy BC Reel One pair of Sunglasses ps My fishing partner ratted me out!!!!!! I was gonna try and replace them, but NO!!!!!! Big mouth couldnt wait to tell the old lady, something was said about Dementia

No Problem. I was fishing with Glenn and he was showing me how to get a spinnerbait off a log, by using the tip of my BPS Extreme rod. The tip insert came out, I took it back to BPS looking for a repair as it was my fault, I told them what happened. The next thing I knew the customer service guy went out into the store and came back with a free replacement of that same model rod.

It does help to keep that first loop from forming, after a while it becomes second nature, you will not even think about it

While I made the switch to BPS Extreme Bait Cating reels, with no issues mind you, using them hard and almost daily. My experience with their spinning reels left a lot to be desired Having fished both the Pflueger Trions and my favorite the Presidents I can tell you from long hard use, and also many of my friends and fishing partner that these reels ARE NOT CHEAP JUNK ( Not yelling, stressing my point here 8-)) They do not bend under tourque and stand up to many hours and lots of fish. I am still in the Pflueger Spinning Posse. ;D RW speaks from experience and as long as a fella actually uses the reels he reccomends, I see no harm in this. You ask a question here, look for the fellas talking form experience and then make the best choice for yourself. I am grateful for fellas like RW,Avid and Redliner, Mcro and Raul their input while being over my head financially will at least point me to features I may want to consider when looking in my price range. They frequently take the time to post their experiences/ To be honest every reel I own was bought here, used and in good conditon from the flea market. I had Reel Mech redo one for me and the rest Zel helped me clean and lube.It has allowed me to get reels that would normally be out of my very limited budget,

Our former warden on Mauch Chunk was an incredbily decent and polite fella, he retired 2 years ago. The currnet mook is an intolerable jackazz. I asked why, with other boats all around me , did he pull me in 3 consrcutive days? He unsnapped his 45 on his hip, Guess I posed a threat to his and my saftey. I also asked if the last 2 days I was totally legal why pull me in today, he said YOUR LETTERS AND NUMBERS ARE NOT FAR ENOUGH APART ACCORDING TO PA LAW> I flipped a bit, then calmed down b/c I was getting no where I really wanted him to draw his little cap gun. I have seen him sct in similar horriblr actio to others and a lot of regulars are getting pizzed off. He is a buffon and sooner or later he is gonna get fired.
