Broke Back Bass Fishin

Happened twice this year. I was throwing a 1/2 ounce football jig head with a 4.5 *** beaver Craw, got a few smaller fish. I went to a 1/4 ounce shakey head with a Brush Baby and caught better fish with that, in the same area. I do not even have a clue why this worked!

Hey Fellas: This is pretty broad and I am curious about some of the answers; Here it goes If you locate good fish , in water lets say 10 to 16 ft. Some of the fish are in weeds others in points by drop offs and you are catching fish with a particualr jig, or jighead/trailer combo and you are looking for better fish. Is the key in the bottom make up or do you switch jigs when looking for bigger fish? Lets say a heavier jig or a different profile? Or do you look for cover on the structure that is bound to hold better fis? Or change the angle you are fishing the cover? I am sorry, I know there are a lot of variables there, but now that I am actually catching fish regularly and with confidence ,using jigs, I am looking to getting more proficient at targeting bigger fish. ALL MY BEST FISH THIS YEAR HAVE COME ON JIGS! Thanks Dominick

Well I jumped ship on Pflueger Bait casters in favor of BPS Extremes, I am very happy with that choice But after trying the BPS and 2 other brans I have to say hands down The Pflueger Preidents and Trions are the best valued reels under 60 bucks
