  1. If you just want to catch fish of any kind you just can’t beat a 2 inch white grub on a 1/16th or 1/8th ball head. I’ve even caught 5lb bass and 10lb catfish on them
  2. You can finesse any bait yes but an actual finesse bait is a smaller Than average and very subtle bait, atleast that’s how 99% of bass fisherman mean it. Bass fishing has adopted the word and modified it to our liking.
  3. Reading on these forums, watching YouTube videos, and reading tw reviews I hear the words dead stick tossed around a lot. It seems like it can mean anything from a slow steady retrieve to literally not moving a bait. Is there a real definition for dead sticking? What do y’all mean to when you say you dead stick a bait?
  4. If you are fishing the same place over and over and not getting bites I would try somewhere else!
  5. 6th sense movement 80x don’t remember if it rattles though? I think it does
  6. awesome looking jig that looks like it can do a lot of things. What are you gonna use for a trailer? Are you going to straight retrieve it like a hair jig? Now I want one ? A jig like that with a hair skirt and an easy shiner one the back might be money. Like an ultra finesse swim jig
  7. Small Swimbait or under spin with a Swimbait! Flukes and senkos too
  8. Should work fine as long as it feels right
  9. What Spinnerbait in particular do you use? I have a similar float trip planned!
  10. It’s not that I don’t fish it’s just that my other weird hobby of looking for reptiles and amphibians is very season specific and spring is the best time to do it! I’ve been fishing ponds after work but this summer I’m really dedicating my free time to learning to fish out of a float tube and and really learning my two or three of my local lakes!
  11. What’s everyone’s opinion of the Powerbait pitboss? I know they are softer but is the action the same? Do they catch fish just as good? It seems like everyone hates when a lure is changed and I love the old pitboss and I’m hoping the Powerbait one is fine
  12. I guess what I was really wanting to know is if you guys are commonly throwing squarebills I’m the summer months? I hear lots of talk about spring and fall squarebilling but not much talk of people using it in the summer. Am I wasting my time trying to really learn how to fish these baits in the summer?
  13. 7 inch power worm Texas rigged with a 3/16 ounce weight will catch you fish and can catch you some really big ones, it’s also really easy to fish! Was the only bait I fished as a kid and caught fish just about every time I went out
  14. I’m not much of a spring fisherman because my other hobby keeps me too busy all spring, I just caught a float tube and I’ve been collecting squarebills all winter and I really want to get better at fishing them! Once things get warmed up is there a time in the place during the summer I can throw my squarebills? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m in Oklahoma and will be fishing anything fro clear rocky lakes to dirty water shallow brushy lakes
  15. I recently just hooked myself for the first time and it also involved a treble hook stuck in a backpack, mine was pretty painful though ? not sure about the durability of the mega bass but it looks like he catches plenty of fish on the 6th sense jerkbaits, makes me want to pick up a few.
  16. What’s different about the Berkley pit boss? I love the havoc and I’m pretty sure my Walmart still has them? Gonna go check tonight and hopefully get stocked up!
  17. 99% of the time I hear people talk about this bait it’s usually waking it, I guess I was just surprised you could only wake it at really slow speeds. It seems like that’s a really good thing though, can’t wait to start catching fish on it!
  18. I just ordered a new g2 shellcracker because I’ve heard great things, I’m fishing it on 40 pound braid and I’m having trouble getting it to wake on a long cast, I’m holding my rod tip very high but for about half the cast it’s still diving under the surface, if I slow it down like crazy I can usually get it to wake though, is this normal or is it a bit out of tune? Recommendations on how to fish it and pictures of fish/ stories of fish caught on this bait would be great! Thanks!
  19. Like someone else said if it's a Texas rigged 5 inch senko most reels should throw it well. Hell I throw senkos on a long mh rod with 40lb braid and it casts fine. I'm using a Shimano slx on that setup

I mean it's a rage plastic with rage craw like craws. Haven't thrown it but I expect it will get bit as good as the rest of there stuff!!
  21. I use a 1/16th ounce Berkeley half head for the 3 inch easy shiner, should work perfectly on those as well.
  22. Just ordered 1, thanks for the heads up!
  23. Nice fish! I also have a shock and I think if it didnt have the name lighting rod on it, it would be more popular.
  24. Personally I would use 4lb trilene xl. You should have no problems casting it and the xl in general is thinner then other lines a the same breaking strength.
