  1. Is it a real rooster tail brand? I've had trouble with off brand names but not rooster tail. The line must be tight, give it a little jerk should start the blade spinning.
  2. World record live bluegill with dorsal fin cut off.
  3. Done, will you be doing another survey to figure out what causes the overruns? Welcome to the Forum
  4. I really like fishing a lipless crank. My favorites are the academy, ex caliber, sk, and cordell super spot. All bill lewis ratltraps need to have the hook replaced or bent around a little, stock and they lose to many fish. I was watching a fishinh show and the pro recommended bending the hooks almost like a circle hook, I've not notice any negative to doing this, but the fish stay buttoned better. The academy are a excaliber clone but also shimmy on the fall like sk red eye Shads do.
  5. If my memory serves, the world record smallie was caught using a float and fly.
  6. Leave a little space between the jig head and the end of tube when inserting the jig head. The little air pocket acts like a spring, the tube will hit the rock and deflect just enough to prevent most hang ups.
  7. If u have a Carolina rig rod, it can easily handle the deep cranks. I have 3, mainly because I like to fish allot of top water, one always has a Sammy or buzz tied on of the other two on is a medium bps crankin stick for square bills and shallow stuff the other a mh convergence for lipless and deep.
  8. I will definitely enjoy them, but 6!, wow too much.
  9. I was skunked Try try again Another pain pill
  10. I mentioned in a separate post that I got a bad Cavitron and that an email to the company went unanswered, said I was basically thru with the company. Bobby saw my post, gave me his number, has completely backed up his product and then some. Since I made a public post about being dissatisfied that I should at least let everyone know that he stands behind his products. Thanks Bobby.
  11. Any update on your sister?
  12. Thanks that makes it easier to refer ppl to. And thanks for this thread.
  13. This thread should be pinned. Great info for noobs and experienced anglers alike. I owe my intro to senkos to this thread up to that point I thought they were a gimmick, man was I wrong!
  14. Right at 5lbs, drifting a submerged grass bed. The wind was perfect that day I would use the trolling motor to get to the edge if grass, make a long cast into clear water and let the wind push the boat back. Green pumpkin with black seeds
  15. Thanks definitely get in the salad here
  16. I have one like it, I would go with the convergence or clarus from shimano though, lifetime over the counter warranty
  17. Right now my boat has the original motorguide 28lb thrust, from1990. Going to replace it, which one should I go with mg or mk? About 100 difference in price.
  18. Northern Michigan dude you need too grouse hunt. Drummond island is always good for some birds

  21. no kiddin, lol. He did have one about some gold, but he would not tell anyone where or anything, Strange.
  22. rvadog, Just talked to my uncle, 20yr Navy guy, anyway he was stationed in Maine and Jacksonville, FL, did a few tours overseas as well. He said given the choices you have that Maine would be his choice as far as the outdoors stuff goes. Hunting is great, saltwater is good and smallie fishing is outstanding. Good luck with your detailer and upcoming move.
  23. My Grandfather used to dream his life, said it was weird. He was in both the 82nd and 101st airborne in WWII, said it saved his bacon more than once. I know that if and when he called and told you not to do something on a given day you listened. I remember one time he called and said, put the ladder up and don't get on it today. I lived three states away and asked how he knew, he just said stay off the ladder. He had no idea I had planned to clean gutters that day, I didn't decide til about an hour before he called, I stayed off the ladder.
